Care to explain the price on Etsy?
Facebook: $225 (free listing and transaction)
Etsy: $225 ($0.20 listing fee plus 6.5% transaction fee)
TRX Forum: $250 (honestly not sure how much it costs to be a vendor, free transaction)
The issue I have is many vendors on here offer special forum coupon codes which I’ve used multiple times for purchases to forum vendors. Yes, people in this forum have ample discretionary income, but that doesn’t mean I want to pay more than others.
FaceBook: Not a free listing. If you want to promote to the group on the largest FB page they ask you to offer a discount to the group. They dont care how much, just something. We decided 10% and are happy to do that as its a great group very engaging and the admins made sure to purchase the products to try them before personally supporting them. Great group
ETSY: very expensive, was a good temporary solution to get our products out there to Jeep and TRX owners. .20 listing fee - 6.5% transaction fee PLUS for example on a hood they take $35 claiming the sales were due to them advertising on your behalf to get the best SEO (you cannot dispute and have no choice whether they do this for you or no) they just take their cut.
TRX Forum: $100 per month Very Reasonable. Good engagement and when the Ramgraphicstudio.com website went live we added a TRX10 discount code and announced it on the Forum. If you missed it, that is the code.
For us discounts are good, it helps with tracking sales, we have a dozen discount code partners on Jeep Graphic Studio (Jeep Wave, Teraflex, Bullet Point Mounting) and many more. Honestly most of our customers don't seem to care that much about the discount code. What they do care about is that if something gets damaged in shipping, we immediately send out replacements at no cost. If for some reason they screw up the graphics trying to self install, we immediately send out a new graphic at no cost. They appreciate that if it's a tricky graphic to install, like the hood letter inserts, we often include two in case the first one doesn't go well. We take pride in trying to offer the best customer service before and after the sale.
