Valentine Gen 2 with blend mount. Love it.Hey all. Was looking into radar detectors and wanted to know what you guys are using and if its even worth it in this truck?
I’ve used them for several years. They aren’t cheap but are great quality. Once you buy a mount you can actually buy the clips separately if you change detectors. They are around $30 for the clips. Here’s a discount link if you get one.The mounts look so good. Had no idea they even existed like that. I will be definitely grabbing a blendmount after I decide on either V1Gen2 or Escort MAX 360.
What a lad! Appreciate the discount code, using it as we speak! Im assuming I need the wiring kits as well?I’ve used them for several years. They aren’t cheap but are great quality. Bullcrap. Research does not support your claim. Someone needs to grow up.I have both, and compared side by side. The Escort out performs the Valentine 100% of the time.
Valentine One Gen2 here, along with running the V1 Driver app on my iPhone for GPS lockouts/autolearning, as well as running Waze. Fantastic combo! If you have an Android phone, the JBV1 app is supposed to be the cat's meow. And I have mine mounted to top of windshield using 3M Duralock(so I can remove it when I need to) so it's not blocking my view like a Blendmount does. Pics and more details of my install are here:Hey all. Was looking into radar detectors and wanted to know what you guys are using and if its even worth it in this truck?
Does the V1 Driver App run in the background with Waze? I've alwayes used the concealed displays, with the detector mounted in the upper left, so it is not visible (hides behind the sun visor and window tint) - both so thieves don't see it and to not antagonize LEOs. I know that the app mitigates the need for the concealed display hardware but wonder how it operates with Waze running.Valentine One Gen2 here, along with running the V1 Driver app on my iPhone for GPS lockouts/autolearning, as well as running Waze. DIY: Hardwire Radar Detector
I just did this tonight. Local car audio shop wanted $160 and is booking for 3 weeks out from today so I figured why not. this modification requires PN: MTX-1015 ($45?) from Blendmount which simplifies tapping into the stock rear view mirror accessory power. Whatever radar detector you have or...www.ram-trx.com
Yes V1 driver will run in the background. I personally have V1 on my phone and run Waze through CarPlay. A great combo.Does the V1 Driver App run in the background with Waze? Did you use the Gen2 along with an app for GPS? I live in a metro area and mine is very quiet.Have had great luck with Radenso. Have both the Pro M and the XP. I tried Valentine but it's just too noisy where I drive. I like the custom features on the Radensos. A friend has the Max 360 and it works killer too. I really think most of the high end detectors are all very good.

Escort Max360cHey all. Was looking into radar detectors and wanted to know what you guys are using and if its even worth it in this truck?
I had a gen 2 but didn't use an app. I drive in super mixed areas.....rural to metro but it was really chatty. It was awesome in the rural and highway portions and I was super impressed by the range. I only used it in my C7 and thats what I drove whe ever I ventured into civilization lol! I tried the filtering and updated it but could never get a sweet spot. I sold it about 3 years ago and have been using the Radenso ever since. I just didn't have the patience to really dial it in, especially when 3-4 multi warnings rang in while at the post office, market, etc! Again, I was impressed by it's range.Did you use the Gen2 along with an app for GPS? I live in a metro area and mine is very quiet.
