New Gun Tread “NO POLITICS!”

Wait, what? 45-70 is like Elephant Gun material. I have a long gun with that caliber, and it's a lot for THAT. Are y'all kidding?

Gotta step up to the BFR life or get a noreen basically a 50BMG pistol gotta love America!

They don’t call ‘em Govt Rounds for no reason

Put about 200 rounds of 124g and 115g through the P211, definitely a well made piece and highly recommend. Shot the Kimber 2k11 match I had port matched and a few others. Also a pic of the 45-70 wrist destroyer 🤣 (damn videos are too big so have to link them..)

I live in grizz country and reload some spicy ammo. It makes store bought 300 grain rounds seem tame. 410 grains of pain. When it exited the pronghorn, it took a softball sized chunk of meat with it. It was dead before it hit the ground though.

Almost ready to start reloading my .308 I haven't used the press's for 6 years and had to really look hard to find everything and what I was missing from my move last year.
Also after I go through the IMR4895 powder I have to find something else as they don't make it anymore.

Your bench is almost as clean as mine. Try 42.5 grains Viht N140 behind a Berger 150 grain. Not very fast, but magical accuracy.

I i know, I know, I have two painting projects going on, install a dual pocket door(s), almost done with the first floor powder room, granite guy coming Wed. to install counter top then I get to install the vasel sink and faucet, medicine cabinet and light.
Yeah, my bench is a mess but there is always room for bullets!
Good thing I am retired and have the color truck to prove it!

Yeah, I heard it is great powder for the .308 , will give it a try after I blow through the 4 lbs of the IMR I have.

What sight will you be running?
Holosuns and osights normally (cheaper pistols). Holosun 507 will probably go on the P211. Actually debating on full engraving too. Just had my Walther PDP SF Match done, debating on leaving it as is or getting PVD coated like the others

😬

117yards. I practiced out to 300 off sandbags just in case, but past that ran out of scope even on low power.
I use this for a rear bag and mil adjustment

How do you like the osight? Ask because I helped develop it. Still won't sell them at the price point I wanted. Got a ton of prototype stuff. If you like their lights something I have here is coming out soon think people will like it.
