My truck has been at the dealer for 12 weeks now. (NoLimitz module ended up being the issue, check thread)

Update: After my wife blew up on me loosing the truck for so long, she called the dealership in a rage and suddenly they claim it has been fixed...nobody bothered to call me....that being said, the outcome or solution to fixing it doesn't make much sense. They blame the issue on my Z Automotive NoLimitz module that I installed for the security features it offers. I am supposed to meet with them tomorrow but they claim that after removing the module, the issue has not come back...they are ranting over $15k of parts and labor that were used to diagnose and fix it....I reached out to ZAutomotive as well. I didn't mention the module as I didn't see any correlation between a parking switch issue and the security module. I also had the module for months before the issue appeared....How many people here have that module without issues?....I am supposed to find out more tomorrow but figured I start poking around some. Obviously this could get ugly.
I suspect this will not end well (for you), unfortunately. The NoLimitz device sends signals that alter your factory settings, including brakes. And I will say that Zautomotive devices have caused problems on quite a few vehicles, although I can't say I recall any that were specific to the NoLimitz.
If the dealership has documented a ton of repairs that didn't work, and also documented that the issue was resolved by removing the NoLimitz, then it sounds like a "case closed" situation to me. And I highly doubt Zauto is going to pony up for any costs that come from this.

For security, you should probably just install IGLA like the rest of us. It’s proven and I haven’t really heard any legitimate claim it’s messed up any vehicles. @Air’d outSRT is quick to respond too if you need him as well. Good luck with the dealership… and your wife if they bomb you with a fat bill.

Yup, I recall my wife saying "do not modify your truck..." when I bought it....So this could be an expensive dealership trip and will cost me at home as well...I guess I better go back to work now....I will be fighting it though because the way they communicated over the 3 months and interfaced with me was ridiculous. Nor did I approve any of those repairs myself. I trusted that they knew what they were doing...oh well.....At least I didn't have my Tazer DT module connected or they would have thrown more at me....

I just looked at the features listed for the NoLimitz DT and I can see how that device may have caused your issue. I know there are a lot of guys that use ZAutomotive products without a single glitch, but for me, I've read enough posts like this that will prevent me from ever buying their products.

Oh boy... you are about to write a check if you want your truck back. A big check. Sounds like they are looking to void your warranty.

They will say it was your responsibility to remove the NoLimitz module before requesting warranty service, or at least tell them it was installed on the truck. But hey, you got a brand new transmission for just $15K.

Wanted to give a final update. Had to go meet the Service Director at Troncalli in Cumming GA. They ended up being very thorough with the explanation and sequence of events that lead them to the conclusion that something was interfering with the electronics. Early in the process (1st month), their technician detected something on the bus but Ram didn't want to follow that path. This would have been a great time to contact me and ask if I had anything on the truck. A new transmission, wiring harness, TCM module and tons of work later, they realized that it had the Zautomotive NoLimitz module and were able to correlate it to the issue. Probably some corrupt firmware on the module. That all being said, they decided to cover all of it and I didn't loose my warranty. They did ask me to not put it back on while the truck is still in warranty. So for those that are tempted to play with the NoLimitz module, let this be a lesson that could have ended up bad. I had not clue the two were correlated or I would have brought it up myself. I did contact ZAutomotive for an explanation but have not heard back. So good ending for me and I appreciate how the dealership ended up resolving the potential dispute. Now if anyone wants a NoLimitz module for cheap, reach out to me but I will not offer any warranty.......

Your decision, but I suggest altering the title of your thread to end with “NoLimitz was the problem” for future readers. This is a story that other people need to see if they’re thinking about installing one.
