Mudflap options?

The rokblockz flaps look great aesthetically. My question is how flexible are they? They look pretty stiff in all the videos I found. I’m worried about coming down on them while off-road and causing damage to the mounting hardware or even the fender itself.

I like the look but i'm also with @dannys in wanting a subtle look. Based on your photos and the ones on their site, I think i'm going to order a set but not the XL like yours. I like the overall minimal style.
I went with the XLs thinking I may get power running boards and 0 offset wheels, and still had a lot of sling on the paint on my Raptor with the normal sized flaps. I think one could enlarge the holes on the flaps to let them push in farther if desired. Way easier to install on this truck than the Raptor - much more tire/hand clearance.
Now with 18x9 +1mm offset wheels.

They mount to the plastic flares so worst case you need to drill new holes or get new flares. They’re certainly not rigid but not flopping around or moving in the wind, either.

They do at 105+ but I think any would. I pulled the rears and just running the fronts now

I've got PDP flaps on order. I'll post pics.. Had them on my Raptor and they were great. The angled bottom edge makes them look a bit sportier than regular rubber flaps, but not over the top busy. They also do custom logos. I got TRX on the fronts and the T-Rex eating a raptor easter egg on the rears. Best part, only ~100 for all 4 with custom logos, not an absurd $700+ lol. Ran PDP on my Raptor for 9+ years and they held up great.
Agree, I have PDP on my Raptor. I think I will do a set for the TRX. A bit more messing around because they don’t come with pre-drilled holes, but nice to put them exactly where you want!

If weather tech ends up going with a flap similar to the ones they make on the standard 1500 they’ll be useful for on road use only. I had to bump out my regular sized Rokblokz to the maximum setting to protect the sides of the truck off road. Just food for thought a standard style flap will do almost nothing to protect the sides of the truck off road.

I see there's an XL version on the Rokblokz- but I take it they look too goofy on the stock setup?

I think they look too big, but I know @Bambi runs them and likes them. It’s personal preference but they’re both adjustable which is nice.

Yeah looking forward to this. @RobR651 Thats surprising to hear. I went with PPF lower and fenders which did well but my rear plastic flares took some hits, mostly just like a bunch of small specks from sand hitting it at higher speeds so was hoping some small guards would help with that.

Speaking from experience the standard Rokblokz work great if you have them set to their maximum setting off road. I highly doubt the Weathertechs will be worthwhile if they go with anything close to what they customarily produce. On road use you’ll likely be totally fine keeping most of the road grime off your paint. It just depends what you use your truck for. I wanted a dual purpose flap that didn’t look obnoxious.

I did them and thought they looked fine. I pulled the rears because was getting too much wind wobble at the Governor. You only really need the fronts to catch rocks.

Yeah. I didn’t mind the aesthetics. Plus you can just cut the xl’s if you want them smaller. I drive on tons of dirt/gravel. My driveway is a mile of gravel alone then add firetrails etc and I see lots of flying rock missiles. The xl is cheap protection

Hey guys. I'm still looking around while waiting to see what the Weathertech mudflaps look like. Came across these guys. Anyone have any experience with them?

I am also interested in mudflaps and I have reached out to several companies like Rokblokz and Gatorback. Gatorback are the nicest in my opinion. They need to get their hands on a truck to develop and fit. I am still waiting on Rokblokz for a reply. Mopar did respond to my inquiry rather quickly and they have mudflaps that will fit. I will attach their response letter. I was very surprised that the ones listed will fit. They don’t appear to be vehicle specific.
So has it been confirmed that the first Mopar listed mud flaps (82215488AC & 82215489AD) in the attached letter do not fit?

Yes someone tried them and they do not fit even after being told that they do. Maybe they’ve modified them to fit now, but it’s doubtful. Any of the molded flaps will do zero to protect the sides of the truck they’re just too small for the tires and the fenders bulge out too far and will get hit with debris. Even my standard Rokblokz had to be bumped out to the max setting to protect the sides.

Rokblockz XL is about perfect fit in my opinion. This is with 20 inch Fuel Shok and 35s.

I was just looking at these too. No members can comment yet, huh? You and I might have to be the guinea pigs!
