I am on the verge of placing an order for the beast and I just have a simple question.

What is something you regret not ordering, or ordering for the truck you purchased? Thank you so much for the responses. I realize everyone's needs vary wildly, but I feel like I could receive some great information from many of you on these forums! Thanks again.

When I ordered my 2021 I passed on the Technology Group, which at the time included the Heads Up Display and the bed camera in the third brake light. I should have opted for that package because I think the HUD would be helpful. This truck likes to travel at least 5mph faster than you think it is.

I chose every option and do not regret it at all. I did remove the tire carrier, but I like having it in case I ever want it back on. I know this is not completely comparable but if you look at the classis car world the truly valuable cars are the ones that had all of the options. It is easier for me to spend your money though... lol

I went with the LVL 1 w/ Pano, HK sound, and the safety group (cross-path, front/rear sensors, lane detection and forward collision), and honestly I have no wants on anything I didn’t get aside front the bed liner, although I can likely find one cheaper to put in aftermarket. It’s all a “to each their own” scenario and what you’ll be using your truck for. The guys out west that do the races or off-road a lot? I can absolutely see why you’d get the tire carrier or the bigger gas tank (ram bar just doesn’t make sense to me and I think is hideous, but again, to each their own), it’s all on what you want in your Dino brother.

whoa whoa whoa...what bigger gas tank?

Would have....

....gone silver rather than another white truck (although in AZ it has appeal, my fourth truck in white).
....installed some sort of powered bed steps (pre-delivery)
....added the bead-lock capable wheels (as I had on both Raptors). Look great powder-coated/contrast trim rings (members have done) - so for appearance. I hammer my daily driver on pavement and in dirt but no interest in non-DOT (wheel) mods on-road.

2022
Level 2
Carbon package
Bed Utility
Trailer Tow
Trailer mirrors
Engine block heater

I got a 22 so they had the upgraded level 2 by then, added carbon fiber, bed utility, red accents, sunroof and tonneau cover in hydro blue. I bought some Go Rhino side steps and weathertech floor mats before I even got the truck. I regret nothing! Lol

I got a built one which was as close to what I wanted. It is L2 with technology, safety and HK.

I wouldn’t be without blind spot but I’m in UK and being high up and sitting on the left there’s no hope of seeing a car if travelling along side (people are idiots). I had a near miss and nearly wiped out a Maita in my old Raptor, it was quite a few years ago and I still remember it. I turned the auto braking thing off before I left the dealer.

The HUD is OK for mph but it’s easy enough to see if you put it in centre display and I’m not all that sure about the other things. I’m a bit disappointed it doesn’t have rev counter for when using the paddles. Not sure which group it comes in but I don’t think I’d bother ordering specifically for it.

I wouldn’t have bothered with the side decal as expensive and I don’t think looks all that great although I do like the hood one.

I wish it had the carbon inside trim, I don’t usually like the trend of using carbon for aesthetics rather than purpose but I think it would have given the interior a lift. I’m glad it has the red accents, that was a must have for me.

I hate the HK in my Hellcat, it seems to be either lacking or all booming bass with no in between. I was fearful of it but it’s much better in the TRX. On saying that I thought the Alpine was OK in my Rebel and it’d be easy and probably cheaper to retrospectively upgrade the speakers if you felt you needed to.

I managed to get a Ram bar taken off another truck, wasn’t 100% sure about it but I like it, adds a sort of fun look. Got it for appearance although it may be handy for ladders once in a while.

I took the bed step off my Rebel, it would be very tiring getting in and out of the bed without it. Mines a working truck but I’d recommend a step to everyone, think it comes in a bed group.

I wish I would have ordered mine with the hood graphic. I think it looks really good on the white trucks.
Easy enough to get still, and cheaper, but still wish I would have ordered it from the factory with it.

RamBar, you don’t need it and it looks like an Avalanche. Otherwise, get the level 2. It blew me away the other day I got into a level one, and had to unlock it with the fob. Especially on a vehicle in this price point.

Depends on what you want it for. Ordered mine for suspension, speed and whine, which is the same. 2022 LVL1, vanilla as it gets. Zero regrets. Saved some money for the next rig: 392.

Fair warning: I don't have mine yet, so this is based off of my experience with my friend's TRX. All the options I ordered are in my signature below. For the most part, I think I nailed it (for me). I do wonder about two of them however:

1) I did not order the carbon fiber. I like it, and it looks cool, I just could not justify the price for trim pieces. Although, somehow I DID justify it for the red accents. lol I wonder if I should have done the carbon fiber also.

2) I did order the OEM running boards. Pro: Unlike powered ones, they are fixed so they can't really break, and they help protect the sides of the truck from dirt and debris. Con: Not as clean a look as the powered AFE ones my buddy has, plus his make it much easier to actually step into and out of the truck. When deployed, they are literally halfway between the cab and the ground. On the fixed ones, you are 3/4 of the way there already just to use them.

This is such a subjective topic. So many factors that can apply to a person individually. Lots of great insight though.
So, I will offer my insight as to why I chose my various options (It is still in shipping status, undelivered, so take this all with a grain of salt).

All IMHO:

1) Advanced Safety Group - was a must for me. My tacoma TRD pro had Adaptive Cruise control. My current 21 rebel does not have it. I hate not having it. It actually makes cruise control worth using....and works beautifully.
2) Bed Utility Group - was a must for me. I like having a bed liner, so I would have put one on anyway. For the price, this liner accompanied with the track system seemed a no-brainer as the cost was pretty much in-line with aftermarket. I also wanted the deployable bed step. I am getting old.
3) Carbon Fiber - not worth the $1300 for me. I like the plain black interior. That is just me though. This seemed an obvious cost savings. Again, for me.
4) Engine Block Heater - easy choice. For <$100, it seemed reasonable to have, living in an area that gets cold winters.
5) Standard Wheels. I went for the cheaper wheels, knowing that I like 20" wheels and will therefore eventually replace them.
6) Decals - I don't care for them. This was an easy pass for me.
7) Rambar - I kept going back and forth. But I like my carwash. It's part of my routine. Easy way to keep my truck looking nice. A RAMBAR with lights would have put an end to this. Plus, I do more urban/suburban driving. This can always be added, and easily.
8) Red accents - Easy pass for me. I am not a fan of red. I like my interior black. This is just me.
9) Tow mirrors - I love them. I also tow stuff. I also think it makes the truck look like the truck it should. A difficult retrofit as I understand it...so if you don't get them, you may be a bit screwed to add it at a later date.
10) Running boards. I like them. I have women and children in my life. I also like the look of the off-road ones. So, this was an easy choice for me. That said, if you are unsure, you can always add them later.
11) Tonneau cover - I don't like soft covers or tri-folds(they block rear view). This was an easy pass. The sky is the limit with these, you can always find the one you love and install it fairly easily. I love the matte black gator trax roll-hard cover I have on my rebel, and will port it over.
12) LEVEL 2 - gives you so many things. Pass this one up and you could have major regrets. I get that many people don't want to pay the money and are perfectly happy with level 1.... But if you are accustomed to any of these features, then it is an no-brainer....was for me. HK, heated and ventilated seats, parking sensors.....so many things.
13) Skyroof - I got it. But honestly, I probably would not again. I just don't think I need it. My current rebel has it. It is nice. Really nice. But I just don't use it.
14) Trailer reverse - I have no use for it. I tow lots of stuff, but they are on standard trailers. I have no use for tow reverse cameras etc. This is just me. All I need is a trailer brake control which comes with the LEVEL 2. I also want all my aux switches.
15) Tire carrier - I use the truck to haul stuff. I like having a bed to do this. I live in the suburbs. I have no use for 2 extra tires in my bed and I don't off-road in Baja. This was an easy pass for me.

Hope this helps.

I echo all of your personal tastes except I went standard mirrors and will have the dealership install OEM power boards on my pick-up day. I had the Mopar power running boards in my old '19 and I think they will look good on this truck because I like the flushed look and the truck appears to sit higher than with the off road static boards. At the end of the day, to each their own!

That is such a great point on the running boards.

For me the engine and suspension are the reasons to buy the truck. A 10% increase in cost to add level 2 creature comforts was not worth it to me at all.

Might seem trivial... but the only reason I chose Carbon Fiber is because I think the glove box looks a lot nicer with the other emblem

I am just a noob with an order, but the only thing I regret about my order is that I added the off-road style running boards, and now I plan to have the dealer install power running boards. So I wasted that $1000 (until I sell them, I suppose) and I might have added a constraint for production (who knows?).
