Inspection Status Builds

I opened a Ram chat this morning to see if I could get any additional information on what is keeping my truck from shipping. (I really wasn't expecting anything else but what everyone has already said). Chatted with a person who opened a case for me and told me that someone would contact me within 24 hours. Again, I don't really expect it to move it any, but hey, maybe someone will do some data analytics and notice how many cases they have had opened on that part of the production process and suggest some improvements.. I know, I know.... wishful thinking..

Yeah seriously. You know that entire run of Lunar trucks is gonna clear the plant before ours do 😂
When the Lunars populated into our order queue they actually show "ordered" dates of back in October. So they were already "in line" of sorts, just not announce, released, assigned etc until now. I know that doesn't help anyone waiting lol. Just found that interesting.

Their case is not like a real case. All that they will do is update you when the status changes and that isbit. They have zero authority.

Day 50 under inspection for me. Dealer was able to get ahold of a rep who finally shared that a "leak" was found and they are expecting a fix in 2-3 weeks.
Really curious where the leak was from... Hope it was just a loose washer fluid hose connection and not a head gasket.

Guessing those of us with extra work being done may need to look out for scratches and scuffs from pulling parts in and out of the hood area.

Mine was ordered the Friday after Thanksgiving. Dealer said it’s built and in “I” status, and recommended I plan for an additional wait of 1-3 months. I asked if he meant to type “weeks” instead, but no.

That sounds way to long to “inspect” and ship a vehicle.

So... I received this email from RAM US Care today, but I'm curious as to what additional equipment they could be referring to? Only option I have that it would go to the body vendor (if that is really where it's going vs. waiting for a part to be replaced) is the spray-in bedliner. Is the dealer the only one that can see those status in-between build sheet and window sticker?

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your response, this is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new Ram 1500 factory order status.

Good News! At the present time, your vehicle is pending installation of additional equipment. Currently, a delivery estimate is not yet available to share.

Once additional updates become available for your order, I will be reaching out further to you to share these updates. Your authorized ordering dealership will be an additional excellent resource for any order updates or questions you might have.

I will continue to follow your order and provide details as they become available. Thank you for your loyalty and we’re proud to have you as a member of the Ram Truck Family!

Sincerely,

Cara

Ya, and the rear quarter panel decal. Hopefully, that shop has their crap straight and it doesn’t sit there for another month. I sent Granger a note asking if they could see a status change.

Well did the same for mine, zero answers and opened a case, so far looks like its still in frame with zero movement since April 6th very sad deal Ill probably cancel the order if so heres the answer "Upon looking this up further, I do see that the order has stayed on this status for a long time now. What I can do here to ensure that the order is monitored and reviewed, I can document this and have this case forwarded to a specialist.

That was the first response I got from them as well. I asked Ram Cares if there was someone we could eacalate to. They responded with something like “we’ve added a note to your case for them to follow up” and then I got this note a day later. So coincidence? I’m surprised youre dealer won’t escalate to the regional rep to figure out exactly whats up with your order.

I think it stays in “E” status on Triple’s report because he’s searching for the window sticker. What status does the dealer say its in? Ill share what Granger tells me as soon as they respond.

Granger confirmed that it’s in JB status. They never did say if there was an issue or why it stayed in I status for so long. It had to be some issue that needed to be needed to be corrected. No one would or could tell me what the exact issue was though.

Update:
Dealer checked again today and mine is still in “inspection” status. I would like the real story please……..

Ram cares can only see what the dealer can see. Nothing more. If there's an issue, they can only see the current status by the status code and nothing more.

Looks like I'm in the same boat. I just dropped a small deposit to take over a TRX that was ordered Nov. 3 last year. The order printout (thankfully has the VON and last name of the guy) shows status JB - Shipped to body vendor. I can see TripleB shows status of E. Estimated delivery date is TBD. RAM order tracker shows in production April 6. I'm guessing the original guy backed out because of the delays. Dealer reached out to their factory rep who said "It arrived there about a week ago." It was allegedly marked priory and he is hoping to get shipping information shortly (this was on June 4). Sounds like it's not clear what's going on. I would expect a window sticker to be available if it really arrived (whatever that means). Since I've only been waiting about a week and half I'm not too concerned, but man I feel bad for you guys who have been waiting more than 6 months while others take delivery in far less time than that!

Here's some closure on the inspection hold. Leak was repaired and truck is now on its way. No info black hole was frustrating, but it's looking brighter now. See info at this link: Post in thread '2023 RAM TRACKER' https://www.ram-trx.com/threads/2023-ram-tracker.4987/post-333379

Quick update. Just got a message from the dealer that "a status update will be coming soon" so I jumped over the RAM build status website and shockingly the truck now shows built June 6 with a link to a window sticker. Still TBD for delivery and the window sticker link doesn't work. But progress...
