I wonder how many of us have trucks hanging out in Inspection status after running through the line? Mine when into production on 04/26 and is pending. With the news that they are only working on those units on the weekend, looks like you get an automatic delay of a week each time they don't get to it each weekend.

4/6 here........very upsetting still says may 24 delivery, they better fed ex it overnight to my dealer

Makes you wonder exactly what did they mess up that it’s taking that long to fix?

Mine sat for 58 days in inspection. Never got an answer why. Shot an email and magically the next day it was at the yard. A week later delivered.

I second this. Been emailing the dealer once a week and no movement in sight
Man, I'm not sure I would be able to stand waiting that long.. I know, I know, I've already been waiting since November.... part of it is just the thought of Ram running a few thousand other trucks down the line while mine is sitting in the corner..
Wonder how many people change their minds and cancel? I'm sure the dealers don't care as they can sell them for more on the lot.

Yeah seriously. You know that entire run of Lunar trucks is gonna clear the plant before ours do 😂

I sat in inspection for 30 days and now it’s sitting at the Toledo Raceway because the load of trucks headed to Granger by truck is bid too low for any carrier to want to pick them up and transport them. Going on 3.5 weeks now. SMH

totally insane, zero reason for this

I was in inspection over 70 painful days and just got to pick it up last week. My order was placed on September 1.

Anyone ever get any kind of idea what failed inspection and had to be fixed?

Possibly nothing. My brother and mine both were on the same timeline, both held in inspection for about 60 days which was the time the Havocs were being pushed thru. I think they were pushed to the side and forgotten about as the plant manager never provided a reason.

Mine was in inspection for a long time. I had my Chrysler rep friend look into this and here is the response he got from the factory about my truck when I was waiting

Tom,

I hope you are doing well.

It appears that this unit has several certifications and tests that it needs to complete before we can ship this unit. I am unable to provide an ETA on when it may get shipped. SHAP has about 1,400 units they are working through.

Thanks,

What is SHAP? I wonder if they do those same certifications on all vehicles that go through or do they pull a sample when they come off the line?

Duh, Sterling Heights... LOL. Sorry, I thought it might be something within the plant before I thought through it.

No response yet has addressed why there are trucks ordered in January/February are showing up before trucks ordered in October. It's all just a bunch of bullshit. Make no damn sense. My truck has been in "production" since 3/16.
The dumbass banana taxi cab special edition took precedence and now the Lunar special edition will do the same thing. Fuck RAM....and yes, I'm salty.

I feel your pain, stuck in production since 3/23. RAM could give 2 shits about their customers. This is my first RAM, first impression is a lasting impression. No rhyme or reason for this production fiasco.

Random production order is just how Ram has always done it. There’s no reason or explanation why a later order configured identically is built first. Same thing goes for shipping, totally random. My truck sat in Toledo for two months while other forum members trucks were built after mine and passed through Toledo to the same dealership before mine ever left the yard.

This is my first experience with Ram as well. This is the first vehicle I've ordered since I ordered a 1994 Ranger. All my others, I've found on a lot. I'm not quite salty yet, but this hasn't been a pleasant experience. I think the amount of information available to consumers now is both a blessing and a curse.. We can all see other vehicles making it through the line successfully and shipped within days, but ours aren't. I'd really like to know what is keeping them in inspection for so long. I don't buy the canned answer of "your vehicle has to go through several tests and ....." if that were really true, we wouldn't see others making it through in a day. I'm still on the side of something (or many things) didn't pass inspection and now we're waiting for them to get fixed. I also believe that it would slow down the production if they concentrated on getting these corrected faster so it makes sense for them to keep the line going and deal with ours 'later'....
