Dealer confirmed today I am in D1 with an estimated ship date of 12-28!!

I can confirm after speaking with my dealer today, I still don't even have a Vin. Congrats to everyone who has build weeks now. I'll just sit over here singing to myself:

Could not agree more! If they aren't going to LAUNCH with the Launch Edition, what was the point? And, yes, that's what I was told also.

My sentiments exactly...my dealer told me the Launch would be the first ones built so I put a down payment on the LE .

I fully get what you are saying - I really do! Mine is #207. I still like the LE enough that I am going to leave well enough alone and just wait until it arrives! LOL.

So this happened to me today... My dealer told me I went to D1 with a build date 12/28 - I was the 3rd allocation out of the 3 they had. I'm surprised I'm D1 before the LE..

Texted my dealer today and asked him to look up this screen in his system. The reply I got was "still in 'D' status." Oh, well...

I was trying to decipher if your dealer says it's in D, would those artifacts exist, and is their data accurate. Didn't find anything though. Hoping it's coming soon for you.

I wholeheartedly agree they could have done a better job; was just thinking for what reasons they wouldn't.

My salesman said that he ran across the same problem last year when he ordered a Demon for another customer.

Guys I ordered mine on Friday Nov 13th. Maybe I should have waited a day later. The sales guy told me realistically 3-5 months. . I am trying to be patient and resigned myself to a late March delivery and happy Spring motoring. I live in Nj so I think an early Spring delivery will be awesome. But if it takes much longer I am going to go nuts. Normally I am very impatient. This is good practice to reduce my impatience.

I spoke to my dealer in Houston today and they said that only 3 of the 17 trucks they ordered are in D1.

When we talk to dealers, it might be good to verify that D1 trucks are sold orders. I’m sure they are but would feel better knowing.

You will not get a build sheet until after your truck is in D1 status and beyond. Once you are in D1 status the dealership will get an estimated ship date from the manufacture.

The window sticker will not be available until your build is complete and the truck has been invoiced, Which comes after the build sheet.

Also, please remember when you are checking the sites with someone’s VIN the last five digits of the VIN are not enough. You have to know how to calculate the security check digit as it will change based on the last five characters of the VIN.

That’s why many of us will have 99MN or 92MN as an example in the middle of the VIN, some will even have 9XMN in the middle. The digit right before MN is the security check digit and will change based on the rest of the VIN.

Wouldn't you guess that's because they were allocated three or four? I thought they couldn't officially "order" any until more allocations were given.

All 17 vehicles have a Vin number.

Also all of those orders are sold orders. He has another 9 with only VON numbers.
