How many of you guys are in D1 status?

Good thoughts. I agree if there are several variables at play, they run a big risk communicating something now and then having to change the message 2-3 times. They have given themselves the Q4 grace period, but now are in a spot where they need to realign expectations with their customers (as Q4 closes).

There may have also been a competitive piece. Now that Ford has communicated the Bronco delays, they can communicate their delay without as much fear of FCA specific “bad press”. (more industry-wide)

All that said, they have had time to get ducks in a row and need to communicate something before Xmas.
I also saw the post about GM and what they did for the C8. FCA could definitely spend more time thinking about how to keep customers informed and engaged.

Over 3 months since order and don't even have a Vin. I stopped asking the dealer. Figure I'll check back in March and if they don't have a production date by then, I will just cancel and circle back once the hype dies down.
Same, it will be 4 months next week and still no Vin... I don't bother checking anymore.... At this point, it will be interesting to see if they honor my trade-in value when they originally planned for a jan/feb delivery which now looks like apr/may...

They said Q4 once we got to Q4 and they had no answer. At launch production was suppose to start in October with deliveries before thanksgiving was the claim. I went through a C8 Corvette order during this pandemic and was at least informed the whole way through with consistent updates along the way from the top down. Dates were not available for orders more then 2 months out but delays and hurdles were communicated out to dealers every Thursday and to most customers Friday morning. GM stood up a corvette concierge team to specifically tackle the c8 order challenges for customers.

Almost everything about the TRX has been back channel information. This forum is more informed then most dealers. My sales rep tried to tell me don't worry, the first wave of trucks have been built and shipped out to customers so I should get an update soon which is clearly not the case. It just seems like bad business

You are right about one thing. We at least have each other in this forum *group hug moment* :)
Regarding your sales rep, not sure how he or she thinks the first wave of trucks have been built and shipped, since we have heard no public fanfare anywhere about the first customer truck rolling off the line, as many in this forum have speculated will occur.

My dad just got his C8 finally after waiting 10 months. After seeing it, I'm going to see if I can get put on a waiting list for the Z06 this week.

Congrats to your dad. Looks great. I picked mine up last week and love it so far. I am in the 300s on the waiting list for the z06 at 2 dealers. I had a chance to be 75 had I sent the deposit in August but you know....I ordered a TRX instead lol. The base c8 is a pretty impressive platform and the amount of attention this car gets is pretty cool.

Just spoke with my dealership here in Colorado which had 7 initial allocations (1 LE, rest non-LE), all 7 have been in D status since end of September.

Today they had their first allocation go into D1 status out of the 7. They told me it was the least expensive of the 7 coming in around 75k, so I'm assuming no beadlock wheels and no carbon fiber, but not entirely sure what the options are and don't know the VIN.

My truck is relatively fully loaded with the exception of the beadlock wheels which I didn't get. My truck is still in D status as of today.

Will update if my status changes to D1.

If the Launch Edition is the last one to launch im going to be furious! They said they would be the first built when i ordered!

So this happened to me today... My dealer told me I went to D1 with a build date 12/28 - I was the 3rd allocation out of the 3 they had. I'm surprised I'm D1 before the LE.. 🤞

I wholeheartedly agree they could have done a better job; was just thinking for what reasons they wouldn't.
Guys I ordered mine on Friday Nov 13th. Maybe I should have waited a day later. The sales guy told me realistically 3-5 months. . I am trying to be patient and resigned myself to a late March delivery and happy Spring motoring. I live in Nj so I think an early Spring delivery will be awesome. But if it takes much longer I am going to go nuts. Normally I am very impatient. This is good practice to reduce my impatience.

I highlighted the MSRP on the 392/Rubicon. I was talking to my dealer about the 392 and he said that when he ordered his allocation he had to order it "blind" with no MSRP listed. When he got the MSRP it was 99,000.00

You've got a very similar build to mine. Color (mine is white) and trailering options (I didn't get any) are only difference. This must mean carbon fiber is no longer show stopper. Neither of us have bead lock wheels if I read the line right.

While info is still sort of second hand through dealers and such, I'd say the general feel is more positive info coming out across the board than negative which is encouraging.

Wow 100K for a jeep Wrangler seems crazy to me.. But my friends think 92k for a ram is crazy. I'm really out of touch with pricing now a days..

Messaged my dealer and still stuck D status 😭

I ordered mine on nov 13. Is there a link where I can at least see my order and my name.?
You probably have to go to your dealer and have him provide it for you.....

So am I, however 1 of the 10 allocations of my dealer has gone into D1 as of today with a build date of 12/28. Seems that maybe we are turning the corner.... Cheers

First 30 will have loose bolts and leak fluid. Heard it from a reliable source. We want ours after.

Could not agree more! If they aren't going to LAUNCH with the Launch Edition, what was the point? And, yes, that's what I was told also.
