Just drill out mounting location, don't tap it, you can place nut behind mounting location.Smart. Didn’t know they are that crappy. My last one I think I ordered different links and drilled/tapped which wasn't fun.
If you don't want to use some crusty u-bolts and can handle a drill buy the following:
Hellwig 7/8" Rear sway bar "7709" - ($254.42 amazon)
Core 4x4 endlinks "TWN-R-15-2009-EL2" for RAM with 3" lift - ($110.53 eBay)
So for around $365, you'll have a much cleaner install using the factory mounting location and beefer endlink
Guys going this route, we can do that bar for less than amazon all day long.Does the bar with the 3" lift link sit flat ? or does it allow the rear ends of the bar to sit higher for a bit more clearance ? have you got a installed pic ? thank you very much
In the softest setting, it sits exactly a cunt hair higher.Does the bar with the 3" lift link sit flat ? or does it allow the rear ends of the bar to sit higher for a bit more clearance ? have you got a installed pic ? thank you very much
Thankyou !! looks great !! i`ll do it this way for sure
Is anyone on here running the 7883 for a 2022?If you don't want to use some crusty u-bolts and can handle a drill buy the following:

Maybe slightly, but not like air bags and a weight distributing hitch do. Now that I think about it, the weight distributing hitch works on the same principle as the sway bar, but in an orthogonal direction.Forgive me if this is an ignorant question, but does it help with stiffing the suspension for towing at all?
THIS^^^^^! Thanks for the incredibly helpful post, took your suggestions and this is a much better install, and saves money too.If you don't want to use some crusty u-bolts and can handle a drill buy the following:

You would need to add some extra parts on that as its meant to be a swap for a 1500 with a rear bar already.Any ever try a 7793 ( 1" diameter bar) instead of the 7709 7/8 ? just wondering
yeah the core end links for 3" liftYou would need to add some extra parts on that as its meant to be a swap for a 1500 with a rear bar already.
And something to mount it to the actual axle it self.yeah the core end links for 3" lift
should go into the stock TRX location after drilling and tapping the mounts ? the 7709 fits with these or am I missing something ? it does show the "outer" u shaped bracketAnd something to mount it to the actual axle it self.
Yes that is correct. Just most guys aren't willing to do that is all so didn't want anyone to be misled.should go into the stock TRX location after drilling and tapping the mounts ? the 7709 fits with these or am I missing something ? it does show the "outer" u shaped bracket View attachment 140484
