NEW Hellwig Sway Bar & Adjustable End Links for 2021+ Ram TRX.

What air bag system or brand are you using in your TRX?

I have a 21 and I assume it is factory height I want this Swaybar, so I assume the #7883 is not for standard height, how do I know if I am at standard height? and if I am at the standard which Swaybar do I need, and will I also have to go to Lowes for the hardware? Also, would it stiffen more if I did the Front and Rear?

Look up the factory height measurements then consult your tape measure. Or check the part numbers on the springs if the tags are still there.

The rest is pretty well documented in this thread, including several options for the links, which are the only things affected by a lift, or lack thereof.

And, yes, stiffer anti sway will provide more lateral resistance, front, rear, or both.

For those who emailed and called about ETA. We will have more ready to ship in 2-3 weeks if all goes well. At that point, we will be accepting more orders. Trying to fill all the backorders ASAP first.

Anyone run both front and rear bars yet? I’d like to get the set but worried about understeer if the front is too stiff.

Om waiting.to find out too.
We have quite a few customers running both and haven't heard this yet. I honestly have not added the sway bars to my TRX yet as I haven't felt like I needed it.

Slightly different page, but have you heard of any rust issues? Both rear Hellwigs I've bought in the past (for a 2014 Ram and a 2020 Ram) had their coating heavily peeling and major surface rust within 10k miles or less. They didn't seem to like the winters here. Factory sway bars had no issues with their paint/coating.

Its one of the main reasons I have not bought any for the TRX yet. I apologize if this question was already covered by you and I missed it.

Yes the endlinks are not stainless or zinc coated, its just a cut and welded piece of turnbar. One of the let downs of the hellwig kits. I would love a quick disconnect, turnbuckle, made from quality stainless hardware.

I have not used their links, but I see your point. I was referring to the sway bars themselves though in my question.

I take care of the underside of my cars for the most part in the winters here, and my factory bars have always looked good with no rust. But both Hellwig bars I've bought don't last a single winter without cracking/peeling of their coating and rust, no matter how well or not well I wash the underside.

Isn't the 7883 version the one that bolts directly to the pads, instead of using clamps? I much prefer that one, having the mounts spread farther apart.

Better yet, the version without the end links, whatever number that one is. It's easy enough to make better links.
