I run stock manifolds with GT haus catless mids through the OEM exhaust with additional vibrant ultra quiet resonators. Cruising on the highway no drone and near OEM dB level.

I also run stock manifolds but with the Borla ATAK exhaust and catted GT Haus down pipes and it was crazy loud at start ups and WOT. Driving around town accelerating normally was noticeably louder but not too bad. My truck is currently with a fabricator tig welding in a pair of Valvetronic mufflers so I don't wake the neighborhood at 4:30AM. lol

Depends on your tuner. Some folks won’t turn off the secondary O2 sensors. Curt would not turn mine off (my only complaint with him). So I run the j-style O2 simulators. 10k miles with no issues or CEL.

Anyone know the sound difference between stock manifolds and test pipes versus catless long tubes? Been debating about this mod.

Because of emissions?

Which brand 02 Sims did you go with? Putting on Kooks with high flow cats and that could keep me from throwing a code until I can get it tuned.

Interesting, I got random P2096 & P2098 codes after I did my install and I suspect he wound up turning mine off to fix it. At least that’s what I gather because I could only get rid of the permanent DTCs by flashing back to an older tune where they were still enabled and a drive cycle could complete. Then I flashed back so they wouldn’t set again.

Imagine if you were catless! I have cutouts right after the midpipes so when they are open it’s really just a header dump. But the vibrants are a straight pass through resonator and really brought the noise back down near OEM levels.

Correct. Not sure if the stance of tuners has changed under this administration since they are no longer pursuing tuner shops like they were a couple years ago.

vibrant j-style with the multiple inlet sizes.

Been awhile but if I remember correctly there is both a way to adjust the sensitivity of the delta detected between forward and aft O2s as well as the ability to turn them completely off. He wasn’t willing at the time to turn mine completely off but did turn down the sensitivity…I think.
