So I am considering Long Tube headers for my motor since I have it out of the truck and install would be super simple...but I have a question.

I live in Texas and do not have emissions testing. I am also on E85 99% of the time...would only swap back to pump gas for long road trips, and I will have a custom pump gas tune I will flash in for that....

With that said, if I were to...hypothetically...delete my cats and just straight pipe it from the collectors to my Valvetronics Mufflers......would that cause any issues with the tune or Check Engine lights or anything else?

I believe the tune would need to be adjusted, but the money you’d save on labor would make up for it.
That’s actually why I added long tubes to my next round of mods. I’m already paying to re tune for the cam, so I’ll just do it now to avoid paying again.
I’m full time E85 for what it’s worth.

I already have a tune paid for and the new motor is likely going to need minor adjustment anyways...I know the tune will need adjusted for the headers...im trying to make sure deleting the cats entirely wont cause issues like CEL...I know on my Camaro, when you delete the cars, you also have to install O2 simulators in the rear O2 Sensors to keep from throwing a CEL....not sure if the TRX would need this or not.

100% you should do longtubes.

Next time you're over at the shop let me know and I can fire my truck up for you. It's Kooks long tubes with no cats back to the OEM mufflers, and it's loud AF. Not bad in the cab, but if you have valvetronic mufflers it probably won't be bad at all.

You'll need a tune adjustment for sure.

Your tuner should be able to adjust your tune so there is no possibility of a CEL from the cat’s being removed 🤠 Enjoy the project, any power increase, and your new exhaust note 💪
