In Denver they have a drop off point. However it was just as easy. Guy met me outside and we looked at the truck, handed him the keys, signed a few documents and he handed me a check for the difference. Very easy and I made $4k on a truck I bought four years ago. Highly recommend.
Vroom does the same but they next day air the check, I'd rather have it handed to me

GMTV low balled me on a non trx ram. By thousands. Glad you guys apparently got what you needed. They sucked for me.

Prices are dropping now. Same happened to a guy with a Rubicon 392 that I know of. Too many flippers!

My transaction with them was in November of 2021. Things may have changed since then?

They low balled me as well
Guy texting was rude
I went elsewhere

The guy was definitely short with me.

My buddy owns a small dealership and looks up MMR (manheim auto auction sales data) data for me all the time. So I had him look up my truck. GMTV was offering thousands below MMR values for my condition report and mileage. I asked if they were just buying cheap and selling at auction and he confirmed thats what they do. They dont sell retail.

So there is almost no way they will pay more than a dealer who can sell at retail will pay someone. At least in my opinion. I had never heard of them before this site. And will never go back now. But I am very glad some folks got paid what they wanted for their vehicles on this site.

Granger offered 49
Local dealer 52
Gmtv 54,500
Can confirm at least in my case they paid more than dealer.

Confirmed. Received $1,500 more from GMTV than the highest lower dealer offer

Information in their database changes daily based on the market. I sold my truck a month before I’ll have my TRX because prices are going to drop as interest rates go up in the next 30 days or so.

Looking for additional car-buying websites if anyone has had a good experience. So far, GMTV and Vroom have been pretty low on my 2011 F-150. I know it isn't top-of-the-line anymore, but I feel like I'm being toyed with on these offers. Thanks in advance.

Give Carmigo.io a try.

I would not recommend GMTV to anyone.

I had an experience trying to use their service to sell my Ram 2500. I filled out the application to get a quote and wasn’t particularly thrilled with their offer. I went to a local dealer who offered significantly more money for my truck and completed the deal there before letting GMTV know that I was no longer interested in doing business.

After that point, I received multiple threats primarily via text message that I would have to pay a fee for not taking their deal, criticizing me for not taking their deal, questioning my character, my word, etc. I screenshot all of the messages as I never did accept their offer or sign any contract and they tried forcing me into paying them just for requesting an offer. I never felt comfortable accepting their deal and they did not like hearing that, then the true colors of the company started to show.

Be very careful before considering any business with that company. You will likely do better at a local dealer and won’t have to deal with strangers treating you with utmost disrespect.

Sorry you had a bad experience, I have contacted them several times over the years and never had anything close to that. Even when I was just using them as a quote system I never had any issues after telling them I wasn’t interested.
Would you mind posting the screenshots?

Edit” if I recall correctly there is a form you fill out after formally accepting there offer. After which they begin setting up transport for the vehicle. I believe there is a fee if you back out at that point. Did you happen to already fill that out then went to the dealer and sold it? Just trying to understand what happened.

Take a look at cargurus.com. I was able to sell privately for about $5k more than any of the local dealers or online buyers offered. I detailed my experience in this thread:

I agree. Sold my original TRX through them and also attempted to sell three other vehicles, but I declined the offers and never had any issue with threats or attacks. Always had a professional experience with them, on four separate occasions.

I have also exercised GMTV for competing quotes several times. Never any bad experience declining.

I had an offer from GMTV of $80K on my HC Redeye 1 year ago. I went with $80K on trade from a local dealership, due to approx. saving + - $8K in taxes on the TRX.

Right now, all dealers are LOWBALLING trades. They are doing it because the car market is not even close to bottoming yet. They dont want to get stuck with a TRX sitting for 30 days and in that 30 days the market correcting downward another $10K. Dealership = when in doubt, lowball!
