Same here. I got an offer after a lot of negotiations of $87k for my $90k MSRP truck with 600 miles on it…. No thank you!

It seems like they are paying more for level 1 trims for some reason. I will probably be selling mine to them as soon as my level 2 gets here.

They offered $82k for my 2021 widebody redeye challenger with 3,400 miles, sticker was $85k. Nope, not yet.

Could not have been an easier pickup, guy does a walkaround. we sign the bill of sale, title, he calls to let them know truck is good. check is activated. Whole process took maybe 10 min.

Auction prices are down in January from December quite a bit

They were 5,500 more than the trade in offer. Dealer wouldn’t budge on there price. Even with the tax savings gone i was still a few thousand ahead

Yeah that’s exactly what happened to me. The dealer low balled and said I’d save the rest in the tax break 🙄🙄. I tried getting a quote from vroom and carvana. They have not reached out to me so went with GIVEMETHEVIN. Waiting for them to contact me for a drop off location.

Peeps in the neighborhood were probably thinking definitely a repo strike seeing that carry off. 🤣 Well done on the deal!

Makes me wonder if gmtv is reselling trucks overseas for stupid profit. Vroom gave me 5500 more than sticker for my 2021 3500 diesel ram

GMTV sells all their cars at Manheim auto auction. They probably sell 1000 cars a week. If they averaged 500$ profit with each car, it quickly adds up. I sold them my 2021 Toyota landcruiser about a year ago. They gave me 86 for the land cruiser and it was sold at Mannheim for 91. So I think they are doing well with their Current business model.

Must be the same for vroom I guess, I was just surprised they offered so much

Due to the holidays? MY21's may have dropped a bit going into the new year? Both..?
My local dealer said they have seen their inventory start to grow again. I know the Corvette and TRX/RAM just hit one of their largest production days recently. I wonder if we are starting to crawl out of this chip shortage a bit. I dont know anything for certain - just my .02

Start to grow, and getting close to "normal" are two very different things..lol. I know on the Vette orders, you will be lucky see a car for next year, if at all. The Corvette supply/demand is absolutely nuts and will be for quite some time. TRX situation is similar, but not as extreme IMO.

Also, many of these vehicles now are customer (special) order ONLY. There are no allocations and dealers will NOT be getting units in for inventory (to simply sit on their lots).

In Denver they have a drop off point. However it was just as easy. Guy met me outside and we looked at the truck, handed him the keys, signed a few documents and he handed me a check for the difference. Very easy and I made $4k on a truck I bought four years ago. Highly recommend.
