Question for you as I myself is also running a Astell and Kern MAXX for hi-res input into
my system, I tried the Lightning->DAC idea like you have and it did provide moderate upgrades but
nothing like the A&K provided.
Two questions for you.
1. It looked as if you were running Bluetooth out of the A&K into the system as I didn't see a hardwire for it? I am doing this currently and works quite well, curious how your mileage was going here.
2. What app, if any, are you leveraging in the A&K or just native files in the system and using the default interface? I ask because I am utilizing Qobuz (was Tidal but went away from it for a few reasons) and have some mixed emotions if I plan on sticking with this service.
I really should just buy the damn music once and be done with it vs. renting it continually, however this opens me up to almost endless supply of fresh stuff to listen too, but I am far to lazy to go find it so it is pretty self defeating and I may just remove the apps from the equation all together and remedy myself from the second question all together. Just wondering if anyone else is sharing in my pain/struggles to get the
best out of a hi-quality system.
