First Tow with my TRX

Wow sure looks like a lot of squat for an empty trailer.
This was my initial thought. That is a heavy trailer for not being loaded yet. Maybe shift shift the distribution back a bit (but not too much) with the load.

I'm hoping a heavy duty weight distribution hitch along with being properly leveled, it shouldn't sag more than a couple of inches.

I know the TFL guys posted videos of the TRX towing a 5k lbs trailer and didn't have near the squat that we are seeing in this thread's photo.
And confirming true tongue weight. Since the truck doesn’t have a rear sway bar, I’d be concerned about handling.

I know one of my friends had a Rapter and he was not comfortable towing his boat with it because it sagged so much. He towed it with his regular F150 just fine. It seems in most cases suspension with so much travel isn't designed for heavy loads or tongue weight.

It was a really smooth experience. From Prep to Finance department.
Did they try to sell you an extended warranty?

Good morning. They are using a much shorter trailer which in itself weighs probably half of the weight of my 24 ft hauler or maybe even less. They have the weight directly on the trailer axles so it does not translate to the tounge of the trailer as it should be.

I do not regularly pull that trailer with a half ton except to move around empty or from storage. I must say on the 17 Raptor I had a hard time not having the chains drag on the asphalt even by twisting them due to how much more it sagged and being a little lower then the TRX.

Handles the 24ft Car Hauler much better then the Raptor. Next time truck will be on hauler for Colorado trip tomorrow.
in San Antonio also with a 2017 Raptor. you trade raptor in or keep it? I'm trying to figure out what mine is worth? Thanks, Peter

If you plan to tow much with it I highly recommend the Andersen weight distribution hitch. I used that system with my Raptor which also has relatively soft rear springs. It made the truck sit nearly level and much safer to tow with.

I traded it in with 41k miles and got 48k

The dealer I ordered from offered me $61k for my Raptor (loaded 2018 w/ 45k miles). Honestly think I can do better than that based what I've seen them selling for currently. I'm going to keep an eye on the market and hope to trade the Raptor in to save on tax when the TRX arrives. If the market starts to drop I'll sell it myself. Based on the continuing supply issues and $20k ADM's on Gen 3's I honestly don't think it will drop at all. The Ford dealer by me had 4 Gen 2 Raptors in the past week listed for over $70k and 3 sold in less than a week. The only one they still have is pretty beat up and has a large hole in the tailgate haha

Good morning. I forgot to update the towing of the truck changed to flat towing back in April. I can definitely tell you that the flow tow system in the RAM is 1000% better than what Ford uses in the Raptor. But then again I guess that is why my transmission went up in smoke on the Raptor on a trip due to a half ass flat tow system.

I’m looking at buying the Newmar Dutch Star with TAG axle. 40 foot.

Do you find the TAG axles helps the ride and does it help when towing?

Are you using brakes on the TRX while towing it? I see you are using Blue OX, does it include set up for lights and brakes?

Thank you, Kevin
