First time pickup truck owner

Ok another question:
How long is the “break in” period and what exactly should I NOT do during this time?

I checked out another detail shop and they use CQuartz Ceramic Coating.
Is that as good as Ceramic Pro?

Yes, but neither of them are great. If you can find a Gtechnic shop I would highly recommend it.

I would ceramic coat and self-wash personally. You can also ceramic coat and then do touchless car washes which is probably the best way to go. Its just pressurized water at that point which is honestly all you need for a ceramic coated car/truck. I second the comment that you will have to ask each car wash if you will fit or not first. Some car washes might not be able to take a 12.5 inch wide tire in the track. I've read some nightmare stories about people that tried with Raptors. The raptors owners manual says not to take it through car washes. Be curious to see if the TRX manual says something similar.

You will have no problem getting under there and doing your own Oil change. I have done an oil change on my trucks for years including my first one on the Raptor. The TRX is a little higher. Tho I probably won't be doing my own oil changes on it. I've come to realize you don't save much doing your own oil change any more. But yeah plenty of room to do it on a back roller.
I second that about Ceramic Coating and touchless washes. I've always maintained the pain finish on my vehicles. The same ppl who criticized car washes (Touchless) often commented about the showroom shine appearance of my vehicles. Then when I told them that I used touchless (only when convenient) washes, they couldn't believe that my paint wasn't ruined. It's not a difficult concept, it's simply HP water with detergent. The only downside to them is that the detergents are strong enough to strip wax/sealer from the paint. But, with the resilience of ceramic coating, it's a non-issue.

FYI- tried to get my truck washed today and they said it wouldn’t fit (giggity)
Who is they? Lol
Was it just the attendant behind the counter who looked at your truck and said that?
Are you referring to height or width? I assume width since most car washes are good for 84". Trx is about 81" and mine fits with the rambar, which probably gets me to 83".
I've been through three different touchless wash stations without any issues. The only potential issue I see, are the washes that require you to place your wheels into the track system, and to my knowledge, that's only applicable to the Cloth (sand blaster) washes, which you're certainly not going through , right? Lol

Most washes have automated wash arms that centre (Canadian spelling) around the vehicle, and are wide enough to allow tow mirrors to be in the open position . (Not extended, of course). And then there are the single arm wash stations that work their way around the vehicle, so width is not an issue because you're not between two arms.

The Mexican looking gentleman with the vacuum said it would fit when I pulled up.
I went inside and paid and the manager came running in saying it was too wide and to cancel the transaction
They’re the best car wash around and hand dry all the cars and do the windows. It sucks she doesn’t fit

It's very well possible that it doesn't fit, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're just being overly cautious. I previously had an f350 (SRW) with a 4" lift and 37's.

Anyway, there were only two out of about a dozen car washes that I could fit into. I used a measuring tape and literally measured the doors and lowest part of the wash mechanism of several car washes to determine which one would work. (Asked permission to do so beforehand. )

My truck was around 87". Most, if not all of the washes around here indicate 84" as a maximum height. Anyway, each time I went to a wash, the attendant would say, "Sir, your truck will not fit." To which I would say, "Do you honestly think I'd be willing to gauge my paint? Trust me, it fits." Point being, they were doing right by assuming it wouldn't fit, but they obviously didn't know whether it would or not. I would literally clear the jets by about 1/2". ( Had to be mindful of any accumulated buildup of sand on the floor during the winter.) As for the hanging bar outside the entry point, when I had taken measurements, I had also asked if I could raise the bar to match my vehicle height. They let me do it. I basically did them a favor, they could guarantee that any vehicle under that height would fit.

I'm not proposing that you go measure the wash, but if you really want to use it, then there's one way to know for sure. Well, two ways, but I don't recommend the second way. Lol

I’ve just been slacking on getting the ceramic coating done and wanted to get the salt off. I’m going to get it done ASAP and get a power washer so it’s not a issue anymore

That’s a big fucking truck!

That was my point. If that fkr fits in the car wash, a TRX will definitely fit. Lol

I have a power washer, but my garage isn't set-up to wash vehicles, so it's not an option to use during the winter. But, I have been going to the self serve car wash. The minimum time/cost is 5 or 6 min for $4.00. In the past I would easily spend $20.00. But now with the ceramic coating, I can wash it with $4.00 and still have over a minute to spare. No soap needed, just the rinse option. Everything flows off with ease.

So you just power rinse with your ceramic coating and it looks good??

So far, so good! It's been pretty cold here, so the water droplets have been freezing after pulling It out of the wash bay, but it's clean!
I had just rinsed a bunch or salt off a few hrs prior to this pic, then it started to snow.
