First Mod?

Taking it straight to my detail guy and getting it wrapped in PPF, ceramic coated, rhino lining the undercarriage, and tinting the windows if it’s not dark enough from the factory.

Pulley's, tune, 37" tires and 17" wheels if they'll fit over the brakes. Potentially king bump stops

It would be awesome if 17's would fit but unless the brake is smaller than the standard RAM1500 its probably not gonna work. There is a shockingly high amount of 18's that won't even clear. Those rotors are big!

Probably a Pedal Commander if it’s needed. If not then some lights for that RamBar that I’m paying $1900 for and doesn’t come with lights.

this is fantastic info! Thank you so much! Is it typically even very expensive to do this? Seems it wouldn’t be. Thanks again! This will be the first vehicle that has a supercharger that I’ve owned. Learning......

AMP PowerSteps, Retrax powered bed cover, Tinting, just for starters.

The tune and pulley are relatively inexpensie

The transmission melt down... and drive shaft snapping on the other hand can be costly

That is a good point!
I know that this was repeatedly done on Chargers and Challengers to no ill effect, but on the other hand those vehicle do not weigh as much and the chances of them catching air and releasing the full power of the Hellcat engine with no resistance in the air and then with the combination of resistance and suspension travel on landing is very low...

My last Ram was 1200hp.... I broke everything.... hahahaha

So....I am guessing you do the PPF first then ceramic coat it? Or ceramic coat it then PPF it? Also I think on the higher end Ceramics it like a 5 stage process which Even includes using clay of some sort to pull out more imperfections?

You always do the Ceramic coating AFTER the PPF or the film won’t stick to the paint. The ceramic coating then protects the PPF.

The ceramic coating isn’t hard, it just takes time and patience.
Wash, call bar, polish (one or two stage depending on the condition of the paint). Wipe down with IPA. Then the ceramic coating process which probaby takes 2-3 hours on a truck the TRXs size. I did my black 2017 Raptor and it took two days to do everything.

Thanks for clearing that up. So you ceramic right over the TRX hood and rear quarter panel graphics? Have you ever checked into or know anything about Opti-Coat? Warranty to last 7 years. Have any idea approx. cost to have a proper 5-6 stage ceramic applied? Also what cost should I look forward to PPF the TRX also. Thanks for your knowledge and help.

Anyone lend a hand on a reputable ceramic coating dealer? Would like to go to their website and read more. Thanks

I have seen a bunch of this products installer video’s on YouTube. You can call the number in the photo and get a authorized installer in your area. Let me know what you think after doing some research.

thank you. I’ve, obviously, never done it before but if I’m gonna have a nigh 100k vehicle now would be the time to start. Oh and also the time to quit the automatic car washes. I know, I know?

Opti-coat gives you a 7 year warranty card, when installed by authorized installer. I have never seen on that lasts 7 years. I am sure it will be at the higher end as far as cost. But like you said you will be out over 100k with taxes and any mods. So take care of it.
