Hello All,

Sorry for the noob question. I've searched the forums and haven't found an exact answer. I'm picking up my TRX later tonight. I'm interested in an extended warranty but I'm sure my dealership will have ridiculous pricing. I should have started my research prior to the day of pickup... From what I have seen it seems as though you can purchase a MOPAR warranty from other dealerships out of state for a discount and the cost increase doesn't really hit until you reach 12,000 miles. Is that correct? I have time to shop around within the first 12,000 miles? Thanks for the help!

Correct - you have until 12,000 miles OR 12 months in-service to purchase the Mopar warranty at the lowest-possible price. No need to purchase it day one.

Just don't wait too long, lest the factory decide to increase the prices again.

The additional surcharge from Mopar is around $200 at each 12k mile interval IIRC. The cost of MaxCare for Hellcats is pretty damn high especially above 85k miles and if you go with a $100 or $0 deductible but don't let anyone talk you into any 3rd party warranty, they aren't worth it.
