Estimated delivery date

I totally get that in terms of build time / parts availability, and it tracks with anecdotal evidence we have seen on this forum since last year.

However, once the truck is fully built and is released for shipping (i.e. as soon as the window sticker is issued), then it's no different than any other TRX in terms of physically shipping it. Option level SHOULD not matter at all. Hence, the mystery of why two weeks for you (and others) and three months for me (and others).................
agreed - its so strange how nothing seems to be sequential with their process from building to delivery. Theres a guy getting his truck delivered to the same dealer I am (chapman) who had his truck offloaded at twin oaks and delivered like 5 days later, hes already done paperwork and picking it up this saturday. But then I hear about people who sit at twin oaks for months or have like a month long wait once it lands at the dealership so.

I am a Koons order, got my window sticker on 13 March, and the truck remains in Toledo. Despite talking to everybody and their mother, I have no resolution of any kind., Also, never even HEARD of a "flatbed your truck" offer, from Koons or anybody else. Can you give details please?
When I was at koons last Saturday I had a conversation about trucks shipping with Brian who was filling in for craig. He told me , we have a customer waiting almost 3 months for their completed truck to ship. Probably your truck. I asked why this happens and he said we have no idea. I honestly believe them. He literally said we feel so bad its out of our hands theres nothing we can do. They still have a few October 21 orders yet to be delivered as well.

Probably IS my truck. 87 days today with no movement or end in sight.

Whatever the realities on the ground may be, from Ram's perspective or Koons', what the customer gets is a total lack of information, which is INFURIATING. Is there something wrong with the truck? Out of gas? Dead battery? Shoved in a corner and nobody ever gets to it? Even if nobody actually knows right this minute what the problem is, the real f-job is that NOBDOY CARES TO FIND OUT. Erica @Koons_of_Tysons_Corner seems like a very nice person, said she asked her factory rep nearly 2 weeks ago what the issue might be, and as of yesterday, has received no response. As a dealer spending millions of dollars with Ram, how could you accept that? And, since Koons actually has a financial incentive for me to get so upset I walk away from the deal, how hard are they REALLY trying to help me besides sending screen shots of whatever the system happens to say at that moment?

Sorry for the rant, but this is my life right now.

No need to apologize, your very calm considering the circumstances. I hope its delivered soon man.

For those that are saying that the tracker showed that the truck hadn't shipped but yet it was sitting on the dealer lot, did the info that the dealer sees when they look up your truck reflect the same thing or is their system more accurate? Mine was built on 4/25 and showing no movement as of today.

Man this is infuriating hearing about your situation… makes me nervous as I’m into the Toledo KZS waiting game to Koons but nowhere near as long as you. I’m honestly surprised they aren’t doing more, I get they can’t control the build process but once the trucks are built you would think they would have some other angle to try to get them on their lot.

Well only one of two things can be true. For all dealers, not just Koons:

1) There IS actually nothing they can do, given whatever fucked up system they and the manufacturers have developed over the decades, and that they have lazily allowed not to be able to correct any glitches.

or

2) Due to some combination of business practices and financial incentives not in our favor, they just don't care enough to try.

I sincerely hope it is number 1. What it is NOT, is any of this BULLSHIT you hear about lack of semi-trucks, drivers, and all that nonsense. TRXs are GETTING shipped. Happens all the time on this forum, just like for @jbaird790, not to mention for the 100s of THOUSANDS of other trucks Ram makes.

Again, INFURIATING.

I was lucky in that my truck was shipped on the rail system relatively quick to the final destination, no telling in how long it will sit at the twin oaks yard. Mine is still there 5 days later and for who knows how long it will sit there. It would really be in their favor to just set up a system where people can go pick it up from the factory. I would have 1000% just picked it up and drove it back to Rhode Island over having it languish in a rail yard with no answers as to when it will get on a truck to the dealership.

Yes, the info that the dealer sees was the accurate status. RAM Chat was more accurate than the tracker as well. Dealer is still the best source though.

I really wish they wouldve made the tracking system just display the same info that the dealership sees.

I'm on 3 weeks at the Baltimore rail yard which is about 1 hour 25 mins away roughly with the options of allowing a dealership employee to drive it up the interstate... Or wait for it to be delivered. I'm guessing because of the size... the car carriers rather deliver more units than our large trucks taking up more cargo space on their truck?? I still don't understand why I can't be allowed to drive it up myself. I may go in and ask the GM about this...

Makes no sense why the wait. My Level 2 ordered 4/20/22 delivered this week - Vin 354012

That’s a bummer as we should get the option to adjust build in process to a version not needing a specific part that’s delayed. Or just bad planning on mfr side either way we see they can build and deliver quickly

theres no rhyme or reason as to why or when they build the trucks its crazy. Thats wild that your april order is already delivered though, congrats you wont the lotto haha

honestly after 3 weeks i would probably allow for it and just like follow the employee or something if possible. An hour 25 is a long way though id be a little worried but my impatience after 3 weeks would probably overcome those worries.

I assume you ordered from Koons? So it goes from Toledo to B-More and then is loaded on a truck???? So for those stuck in Toledo, we’re about to be stuck in Baltimore 😡

No I used Faulkner in Mechanicsburg PA near Harrisburg PA and if anyone gets over that way look up Steph. She's the best sales person there IMHO.

According to a dealer update, my ETA window is 6/20-7/05. Ill see how accurate this is soon. They have not requested payment or mentioned price protection yet. Time will tell.

As others have said... If you don't take it for whatever they will just put it on lot so not much of a loss either way in their eyes probably. Do you at least have a signed sales agreement with pricing?

Yea. Signed POC. My experience with Chapman has been awesome so far. I’m sure everything will work out

Seems only Koons has the major issues with delivery. Used to be Granger but somehow they were able to fix their issues
