Anyone have experience with the Escort Max Ci 360 Radar Detector? Just spoke to my guy who handles the installs for stereo stuff and he recommends this. Very pricey but he swears by it. First time I've ever had a radar so did the "go big or go home" approach. I'm excited for the stealth install.

I know the TRX is gonna create heavy foot issues. I've been pulled over at least a half dozen times but have talked my way out of them with warnings. I'm not an uber aggressive driver but I'll appreciate the peace of mind when I make the occasional bad decision...

Fortunately getting tickets to go away in WA is relatively easy. Many firms up there that do a fixed rate to get them dismissed or changed to a non moving violation.

Indeed. The Mucklestone lawyer family is who I always refer too (I'm an attorney but don't do traffic). Never heard of them not beating a ticket.

Most new vehicles have a power source behind the rear view mirror station and some come with the pigtail adapter

Have you checked out that possibility on your truck yet? And or found a blendmount that fits the Trx? Thanks

I've had the escort laser shifter/integrated system on a zO6, but not a lot of laser in CO, mostly KA, and that's what got me, so now I'm just using the windshield cup mount on a Uniden R7.

I've had blend mount before as well, they are nice but it restricted my mirror movement which was a problem as my wife is short and needed to move it. She shouldn't drive this much so not an issue.

So I'm going to do a RJ-11 power tap once it warms up a little more into the mirror and use the cup mount. It fits right under the huge mirror mount on the new Rams.

This also allows me to upgrade and not be locked into an integrated system that may not work as well over time. Went Uniden for long range.

The power tap cable is probably a great group buy thing. I remember paying too much for my last one that was too short and they are easy to make in theory (red/black wire, sheathing, correct pins, and RJ-11)

Thanks, technically we in Texas can’t have the shifters at all. So I just got an Escort window mount and will do the same as you for now.... if and when I get the Beast. Cheers

The beast is worth the wait.

You can disable the shifters after the first hit, which in essence is supposed to allow you time to mash the brake before they hit you again.

What’s the statute say? Most states don’t allow shifters but they are easy to hide. The escort system has both the option of turning them off a few seconds after laser hit or using a manual override. As long as you don’t blow by a cop while they are hitting you with laser for 30 seconds they rarely look for them

Yes you are correct. Texas has banned all laser shifters. I had an old Escort shifter system before the auto off existed. I really wanted to try the Radenso Theia which was suposed to be out last fall. They have been indefinitely delayed due to COVID. So I’ll try the Escort window mount for awhile and see how it works. Did you say your going to do the whole stealth package? Cheers

I’m not sure if I will run anything tbh. There are so few cops around me. I’ve always run the high end escort systems installed blind with the display inside the etched rearview mirror. It’s pretty trick. But the danger of getting a bad ticket in Southern California driving an exotic is way higher than rural oregon in a truck.

Yeah I agree, as I too live in a pretty rural area. Seems that I could spend the couple or few K on something else.

Have it in my srt keep and love it will likely put it in the trx if it ever shows up. Spends but great if you spend a lot of time on the highway

I had it off there. I use the top one, but it sucks as the cord hits the touch screen at times and it looks bad. I need to hardwire, may do this weekend.
