I have a fellow Supra owner buddy that has the Max Ci installed. He was $1850 installed (Midwest; 2 hours south of Chicago). Its awesome .... probably the "best of" and it should be for the cost. I opted for Escort's new Redline 360c . Its $750 (less if you have an old one to trade) and I like that it is portable between all vehicles. I never put much value in the idea that detectors could show you the direction of the radar (front, back, side) but 360c has it and now wonder what I did without it.

I am waiting on the Radenso Theia to release before I buy another detector. The initial release model will not be stealth though. Worth checking out.

Anyone have experience with the Escort Max Ci 360 Radar Detector? Just spoke to my guy who handles the installs for stereo stuff and he recommends this. Very pricey but he swears by it. He's also quoting near 2K for the install (stealth integrated). Link to unit here: https://www.abt.com/Escort-Max-Ci-360-Radar-Detector-01000272/p/110513.html

Thanks in advance.
I have the Redline 360c. Have used it on multiple long road trips. Definitely has allowed me to travel without worry and has "saved" me many times. I like that it is like the Valentine in that it lets you know whether signal is in front, behind or to the side.

That's what I said when he gave me a price quote lol....

Still considering it though.
Escort products are good. I have run their top of the line system with front and rear laser shifters on every sportscar since 2014. It was about 7k installed but thats about 1 really bad ticket. They all paid for themselves because I would do above 150 every time I took them out at least.

i would have the rear view mirror etched so the display would be there and all hidden controls.

they usually shipped with 2 shifters for the front and 2 for the rear. Check your states regulations though. In CA, 4 shifters is a misdemeanor while 3 is an infraction. I would install 2 in front and 1 in back

So I assume they will pay any and all speeding tickets that you may possibly accrue?

I may be misremembering but I think they have or used to have a program where they did pay the first ticket. The system is really good and pays for itself if you drive like a psychopath like me.

insurance for the 720s was approx 7k per year. A ticket would have likely cost me additional thousands per year and the speeds I was going were lose your license type speeds. Which I guess would’ve saved me on insurance lol

One other thing. If you are in California do yourself a favor. Go research 11-99 foundation. It’s a charity that gives money to the families of cops killed in the line of duty. It’s a one time lifetime membership. Not only is it a great cause and tax deductible. It will get you out of more tickets than anything else. You get a plate frame. I went 4/5 warning vs pullovers and I’m the dude that never got a warning ever.

I have the prior model (360c Max), I prefer these given how expensive they are to be portable so I can throw them in any car. Not cheap, but it has paid for itself in spades.

Can these be mounted on the dash? All the pics I have seen show a suction cup mount on the windshield so then all I can think about is the cord dangling down to the power source LOL

Most new vehicles have a power source behind the rear view mirror station and some come with the pigtail adapter

I just put down the deposit for the Escort Max Ci 360 (in addition to JL audio stealth box and speaker/amp upgrades). Scheduled for end of March install.

Benchmark Motoring in Bellevue, WA (Seattle suburb) will install (they specialize in exotic high end radar and stereo installs - I've used them before).

I'll post an update and review when installed.

Yep.

They called their JL rep and said it would fit. So going with that, 2 JL 10w3s, JL VX 600/6i (powering the focal mid tweets), JLAVX1000/1i (powering the subs), Focal Flax 6.5" and Focal 690 6x9s. System should be pretty good.

Doing a similar setup, but going with the Focal Utopia's.

I really like the Flax Focal speakers. I have them as surround speakers in the house (powered by McIntosh equip) and they are quite nice.

The 6x9s look crappy though. I asked my install guy if Focal had better and he said no but wasn't concerned as he felt it is just filler and the Flax door speakers are what really matter.

Post pics and provide a summary of sound performance when you are done with your system!

I will have to look behind my 2019 Ram's mirror. Does the TRX have this power source?

Look in your manual. Most do now because of the radar/collision domes that are there now.
