I’m going to be 1000 percent honest with you. Not sugar coating any of it. Stock is 90 percent better compared to the eibach 2.7. The only pros is the ride feeling more stable around corners.
I first had the 2.7 with stock tires and had the same issue with the speed bump topping out my right shock only but notice it was the shock nut being over torqued.(4threads is key) Fixed the topping out issue. But even with having an after market heavy bumper the ride just isn’t like stock.
You’ll most likely experience the same but not as much as the geisers. Best way to explain it; the shocks aren’t cycling as smooth compared to the stock spring. Stock every road defect gets soaked up. With the 2.7 the cloud/ spongy smooth ride goes away.
Stock tires were much better compared to the nitto at least not feeling every bump or crack on the road.
Nitto ridge grapplers make it that much worse. The ride is smooth and amazing on the highway and much quieter. Once you start hitting local roads…potholes, bumps and cracks you tend to feel it much more compared to stock.
Im currently running the nittos at 30psi all around which helped compared to 35psi when first installed. At 35 psi it felt like my tires were rocks.
I have taken on speed bumps with the current setup and it’s just trash. Doesn’t soak it up like it used to. It’s much more rough.
I already pulled the trigger so no turning back for me at least for now. But I’ll most likely transfer the ridge grapplers over to the stock non bead lock wheels and maybe sell them.
Order a set of stock tires 35s for the bead lock and change out the springs to the 1.6 that I have stored away in storage. This should bring back some better shock absorption.
Or maybe keep the tires as is for now and just go with the 1.6 since they’ll still clear the 37s. I will miss the truck being leveled. But I honestly prefer the rake look and be able to have the shocks work right.
