Dram of the Day

So I've been eager to crack this bottle open for quite some time as I've heard great things about it, and today is the day.

It is an experimental series where they blend different straight bourbons to create a release, this being their third one from last year.

Here's some info on it: https://www.thewhiskeyshelf.com/bardstown-bourbon-company-discovery-series-3-review/

MSRP was $130ish which is already high, but you'd be hard pressed to find one for that price, if one at all. The Series 4 is now available and trades at around $200ish.

My take is that it's a fantastic bourbon fully worth its price even with a markup. I gage how much I like a bottle like this by how long it takes me between first taste and googling for a replacement ... if it's less than a minute it's worth the price of admission. :)

Alcoholic Service Announcement (ASA):

If I can get more of the Bardstown for $130, anyone interested? I sent my "dealer" the photo of SS's bottle with his glowing recommendation which is akin to Robert Parker saying a Cab is one of the best he's tasted and he's in Kentucky and I guess is going to the distillery or interacting with someone important tomorrow. He told me to stay by my phone, whatever that means but he said it costs $130. I'm going to grab a few so PM me if you want one ASSuming that's what the message was about.

Please carry on......

Oban Nigh watch - the sword of night. Clever marketing to an Oban single malt. At $56 may be the best whisky I ever tasted under $300!
A friend and me cracked open the bottle and may have revolutionized the construction industry. On the other hand we may have not and just decided to spend 50 grand on a prototype that will do nothing.
Either way it was a good night

I haven’t heard from the guy so it’s not looking good on more Bardstown. However..... How about the first annual Ram-TRX Forum GTG? @Nitro I see a private tour in our future! ;)
