Dram of the Day

Did the trooper at least admire the beast that was doing 84 mph? (truck not you ;) )

Ha, I was actually driving something else that's very low-key. I can't take the TRX too far till I take it in tomorrow for them to replace the front axle.

Nothing ridiculous ... 84 on a 70 in Chatham Co GA.
Well that’s not too bad.... you should have used the old rubber band trick.

I tried with this one, it was just too much for me. It came highly recommended, but it is one of the peatiest and smokiest bottles that I have encountered. Way too complex for this basic dude. Gonna need a PBR to wash this down!

Wow that is too bad. That is an old favorite of mine. Try this next time.... big steak and potato meal, after the meal get a strong cigar, pour over one or two rocks, sip slowly while smoking. On the other hand it’s probably not close to what you prefer so please disregard my earlier missive. Cheers

Yeah, sometimes it really does depend on the setting, situation, ambiance and pairings. I forced it today (and kind of early) and I had to graciously bow out. I appreciate your guidance on this one! Cheers

Yeah no worries. That is a substantial dram. Have fun mixing it up tonight.

No glass for me today, I don't deserve it.
Glasses are for smart people, not for idiots that get ticketed by GA state troopers.
He pulled out through the trees in the center divider the very moment I was coming by. Never put his cruiser on park so no time for anyone to flag him on Waze. He was literally about to park and turned on his laser as he was coasting to a stop so the rd didn't pick him up tagging previous cars. He actually never stopped. Just creeped out the center turned on laser, tagged me, and lit me up all in one infuriating motion. The perfect and only way to get me.
So yeah, I'm stupid.
If anyone knows how to get my shit dismissed or at least non reportable in GA they get great bourbon coming their way. :)

Thank you so much. Everyone on the forum has made this community experience amazing and fun. I have learned so much and appreciate everyone's fun and friendly comradery. I do love the truck so much already. Just driving around town tame to get the first 500 miles done the right way. Thanks @Caliche :)

Yes I know what time it is.

But it seemed like the appropriate thing to do whilst shopping for a Guatemalan car insurance company that will cover me.

Are you driving the TRX or any of your other cars to Guatemala? If so share what you find on insurance as I always wanted to drive south of the border....

After my recent ticket Guatemala is the only place that has companies that will insure me. The swear to me that I'll have full coverage in the US as soon as they receive the cash envelope.

Hey, I hear ya, in NJ the government gives you an "insurance adjustment payment" so not only does your insurance company raise your rate after a speeding ticket, but you also get to pay extra $250 a year for 2 years after every speeding ticket payable to NJ DMV.

Now the fact that I have never been involved in an accident since 1982 of course means nothing to them.....

Oh yeah the great “People’s Republic of New Jersey“ system. Cheers.

Btw, if you're ever looking for rational justification to drink any hour of day, just pretend you're at an airport. Apparently that's the alcoholics judgement free zone. If you're connecting to DeMoines at 7am through Atlanta, get reked and no one will notice. In fact you'll look suspicious to the TSA if you Mary is unbloodied.

I've got am empty carryon next to me as I type. I also have the flightaware app open constantly checking the status of the inbound plane that my flight to Sioux Falls is using for that important business meeting. I also cavity searched myself. Although that last one is unrelated.

Ha! Not sure later shifters would have helped @soulsea , today.

Take it from a guy with a lead foot and not one speeding ticket in almost ten years now.... They are for this exact situation. Priceless, in my opinion.

Now, if you meant our brother @soulsea needs far more help than a few thousand dollars can provide, you're surely correct. ;)

I'm sure you guys that have taken delivery are noticing the same but DAAAYYUMMMM this thing is fast. I was on the interstate yesterday and hopped over into the passing lane to get around a couple of trucks but I needed to hustle a bit as there were cars fast approaching. So doing 70 mph I got into the throttle a little bit to get around the traffic and when I got back over the HUD said 110mph. It jumped up there like it was nothing. I got to confirm that the new wheels are perfectly balanced and I might have slightly gone over the break in RPM at 400 miles. ;)
