Digital rear view mirror/3rd brake light/cable (complete conversion kit) FS

Hi, does anyone know if a 2022 2500 Longhorn rear view mirror is compatible with the CHMSL in our trucks? Have a friend who wants to retrofit and found one a couple blocks at a local scrap yard..any info is appreciated. Thank you!

you should ask, it’s such an easy and great upgrade. Only issue is if you have another vehicle as your daily that is not a digital mirror, it’s not a smooth transition going back to the digital mirror.

When I got the TRX I didn’t care for all the upgrades, but after having 3 different C8’s with the digital mirror I definitely think it would be worth the upgrade LOL!

Plus I’ll get to ditch the ugly 3rd brake light for a nicer one.

Did this upgrade a few months back and do not regret it. If you're on the fence, Dgreen is your dude for these items. 10/10 recommend. Takes some getting used to it but it'll be quick lol

Can i ask a dumb Q related to the digital mirror/3rd brake light? Is it possible to relocate the camera from the 3rd brake light to somewhere else? Going to be installing a rack with a roof tent soon and think the tent would block the camera

Yes, you can purchase another 3rd brake light and run a longer cable to it. I have sold extra 3rd brake assemblies to guys that mount it to the top of there cargo/camper shells.

Are they running the wire out of the factory 3rd brake light or re-routing it entirely? I imagine ud have to pull the headliner down some to do that

You have two options either from the 3rd brake by removing liner or from the rear view mirror.

There’s no splicing just connecting male to female ends .

Ok so bear with me as i'm running on 2.5hrs of sleep lol. So i could unplug at the rear view mirror or the 3rd brake light... and then get another OEM camera cable (or 2-3) and run them to another 3rd brake light somewhere? I wonder if i could just get the camera itself and mount that on top or under the rack?
