My weed dealer used to be my landlord when I was renting as a youngster. I would drop off the rent and extra for the Mary Jane. He had a nice side hustle going on.
In Seattle, there is a Mary Jane store on every corner and I represent a few Mary Jane companies (they always pay their bills..which is nice). Most are owned by former white collar professionals who took the risk and it paid off BIG.
I like the strong stuff. But I do have a few rules - never smoke during the day, and if I have an early meeting the next day I'll pass or go light the prior evening. Can't be sounding like Spicoli when advising a c-level exec....
So crazy how different parts of the country handle it differently. I was in Atlanta Georgia watching the local news and the "breaking news" was some sensationalized story of "massive bust" of "dangerous narcotics" including edibles, liquified weed, etc. Showed pictures of SWAT team members with the loot. I laughed as they basically just showed the inventory of a ma and pop retail pot shop in Seattle and nobody blinks an eye. Let's just hope they nationalize it and let people make their own decisions on whether to partake or not.
