Clunk when releasing accelerator

So they replaced front passenger axle shaft and clunk is still there. When I originally brought the truck in, I mentioned rear drove shaft but based on my VIN, my truck didn’t qualify. They then looked up driveshaft part number and it DOES match so they ordered the drive shaft “kit”. Going to go back a 4th time!!
Well at least your dealer is doing something instead of just telling you that is "normal" for the vehicle. Seems some dealers just write this kind of stuff off as normal.

Update: They did the "driveshaft fix" which was a couple bolts and lube... Clunk is STILL there so the clunk isn't the driveshaft on mine. I have been taking the truck in and out of the dealership but this time I told them to keep it until it's fixed. They're reaching out to Ram repair specialist to get some insight because dealership is out of ideas.

Please keep doing the updates, interested to see where this ends up.

After a month of being at the dealership, I went to pick up the truck for a planned trip. Still not fixed and waiting to get a scheduled appointment with a "Ram Technician" to come to dealership to advise.
Also @RamCares reached out and I DM'd them truck information a couple weeks ago and yet to hear anything back. :cautious:

Maybe one of the techs left a full beer under the hood and it's rolling around. Hope they get it fixed for you

@wac45 The clunk started back in January and I just picked up truck today. So far it seems to be fixed (fingers crossed it stays). The Ram tech for the area came to the dealership to advise them what to do and the "fix" was to put the truck on the lift, loosen front and rear suspension components (I didn't ask what that exactly meant), put it down and drive it a little, put it back on the lift, then retorque. I've only driven it 50 miles since getting it back but the clunk hasn't returned.

Great, hopefully that will do the trick for you.

Hopefully you can get your dealership to do something similar if your truck is doing the same thing.
I think now that mine is a bit different from yours. Really think mine is the classic driveline clunk/jolt.

My truck just started doing this after they replaced the radiator. Dealer said the same thing, they can't figure out where it's coming from and sent the truck home. Is the issue still resolved on yours?

Long story but they ended up buying the truck back due to amount of time it was in the dealership with "no fix". It seemed like the fix I posted about back in May of 2023 was working but I had already turned in paperwork for buy back so I have no idea of long term fix.
