Bumper and Baja Design Lights In The Works

To those of you who are considering an aftermarket bumper with winch setup, and at the risk of being accused of peeing in peoples cornflakes, I would caution you against it unless you're one of the 1% of people who really need such a thing and know how to use one. This truck is incredibly nose heavy as is, adding big steel bumpers, and lights, and winches is going to obviously add a lot more weight. It will compress the soft front suspension, will affect handling, and add to the rake. I know it's a cool look and all but just consider what the consequences are and if you really need it. Otherwise you'd be doing yourself a favor and saving yourself some money by just swapping bumpers without the winch option.

I would be grateful if someone made a light bumper without excess steel for design affect that improves approach angle and enables me to attach lights ... first company that makes that has my money.

Something like these:

@soulsea totally agree. Hence why we werent going to offer a winch bumper; only offering now due to forum demand.

Have anyone installed any lights on Rambar yet? Please share pics.

Interested. Big fan of approach angles and being able to retain factory sensors and maybe even fogs.

I’ll do my best to keep everyone updated as R&D begins. Goal is to retain factory sensors. All current designs we have built have retained them.

I would prefer a lightweight design also but need a winch. There is zero cell signal where I play and need to be able to self recover. Or carry a sat phone or both

@Whateversfare69 understand that we have primarily been a HD market. So this will be an all new design.
Ok. How big are these wheels?

lol... that’s 38x1550 on 26s on our in house 8” Lift.
That’s our shop truck. We use the hell out of it everyday. All ours trucks are used. Nothing sits.

I’m glad people like you exist. I would’ve guessed 28-30’s

are there wire wheel dayton style wheels big enough to do the trx?

Since you build these to order. Could I get custom metalwork with words/shapes/etc included?

If your implying that because our shop truck is on 26s that I’m going to do something crazy on the TRX you would be wrong. Granted I do like my 24s on my 2500. But that’s it. Planning on 20x9 wheels with 37x1350 on TRX.

No. I was implying I may do it for the lulz

No plans to do anything custom or offer custom work right now

Awe. You ruined Christmas. What about a mounting plate for an antlered animal skull?

ShowTime Metal Works has 2x TRXs going into R&D. We plan on building a bumper and having it completed in 3-4 weeks.

Bumper will allow for either 4x Baja Design LP4s or 4x Squadron XLs for budget.

Update: Due to forum feedback we will now be offering a winch bumper as well; appreciate the feedback.
Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with.

Spoke with the team today. Hopefully will have a Blue TRX by end of week. Looking at 2 weeks till complete front and rear. Should have progress pics though.

Plan is to have it weigh as close to stock or less if possible. Working sensors (our ford bumpers work with ford sensors; don’t plan on issues with Ram).
I’ll try to keep everyone posted once we pic up the TRX and get it in the shop.

There were some interesting points in this vid about some weak points for components behind the front bumper. Would be great if they could be fixed with aftermarket

Make the bumper weigh heavier on the passenger side since the engineers couldn't make the TRX sit level lol

And make the rear bumper 750lbs so it doesn’t nosedive on jumps

A blood bag mount please.
