Build time

Will I be suffering on waited build time because I ordered from a small dealer? Ordered 3/27
I ordered from a small dealer in Winston Salem, NC. I was the 3rd TRX allocation they had. I don't think that has any bearing on you getting your truck

Since they dropped allocations and accept every sold order, it shouldn't matter.

I put my order in 4 April. Ram accepted the order about 2 weeks ago, but haven't started the build yet. The dealer informed me it would be 3-4 months. I don't know if that is 3-4 months from submission of the order, or Ram's acceptance of the order, or when they start the build. Very frustrating. Trying to get information is like pulling teeth from the dealership. I get the "you'll know when we know" answer. I've thought of canceling the order all together and going with the 75th Anniversary Edition Power Wagon.

Three months is probably not unrealistic barring some other production delay, pandemic issue or parts shortage. I placed my order January 25th. My dealer guesstimated my truck would arrive by May. FCA sent me an email a few weeks after ordering that confirmed May as the expected arrival at my dealer. I was pleasantly surprised when it a showed up the last week of March. 8 weeks from order to arrival is fast (my timeline) The long delays from the August adopters have largely been sorted out. 3 months isn’t unreasonable (there’s a lot of folks getting them in 12 weeks)

If you guys are OCD like I was about the process; do yourself a favor and just check in on the FCA chat every week. Pay attention to what they say when you ask about your status. Check in with your dealer if you notice a change in what they tell you. Your dealer should be able to pull your POC and easily tell you what your current status code is. Watch this video by @KnightMare it’ll help you figure things out.

Would you prefer that the dealer just came up with some sort of story, even though they really can't tell when what will happen?
If so, chat is perfect for you.

Everyone truck going to get built in the next 60ish days. End of MY21 production is July 16th.

I order L2 fully loaded 2022 TRX on January 12th. Dealer still shows it in D Status. No movement in 26 weeks.

This thread is from over a year ago about the 21’ models. Sucks you haven’t gotten any movement on your 22’

I did hear a rumor that their internal order site was hacked by ransomware. All I know is I better get my truck, since I hear this is the last of the 6.2 Hemi’s for the TRX.

The 2023 model year will still have the 6.2 Hemi. If you have a vin your truck should get built. Talk to your dealer about your status but I was in D status for 6 months so not that uncommon.

I placed my order and it has been sitting waiting for an update. I have seen people who place their order after me and they are in the status of their truck being built. I called SRT customer service line they said they have no access to the information. No one knows how the orders are being called up to be built and apparently i can not get a phone number for anyone who manages the factory who would potentially have this information. Very frustrating when you are wondering if you will or will not get your 2022 order built. I cant imagine not providing information to my clients as to the way things work within my business. Ram told me the dealer would have the most information, the dealer says its in dodges hands.

Not a Dodge. It’s a Ram..🤔

I ordered today and was told 5-6 weeks. Could certainly be BS. I was told options with chip shortage issues were discontinued. I've heard they stop building 2021's on July 17 and start building 2022's a week later.
I ordered mine in late February. Still not scheduled.

It's a different build year man, so everything is different. Best advice I can give is to be patient. The wait is worth it. I've had my TRX for almost a year now and have had zero issues with it. It still gives me a chub every time I get in it.

Dodge isn’t going to do you any good. Dodge is a separate division and has nothing to do with the TRX’s. Not to be a smart ass but it would Be the same as calling Ford or Chevy about your TRX. The Ram customer service number and RamCares numbers are listed on this site.

I used the wrong language; I called the proper division. I spoke with Ram Cares and Ram SRT customer service. Old habit of calling businesses by their original name. Ram Split from dodge but being in the construction industry and seeing so many DODGE Rams it will be engraved in my head. Point was would be helpful to know the process or for someone to be able to know if your 22 order will make it or if you should plan on the order getting dropped and purchasing a 23. Def excited for the truck! Just want to find out if it will be fulfilled.
