Brand New 2027 TRX Won’t Shift Into Gear

Update: It looks like the battery was the issue. Huge thanks to Diamond Auto Security Solutions—the tech who installed my IGLA got on the phone with me multiple times yesterday (including after hours) and helped troubleshoot. He explained that the battery dying while the truck was at the shop likely caused the IGLA to lose communication and enter protect mode.

Once I isolated the IGLA from the equation using the kill switch, I got a low-battery warning. After charging the battery for about 6–8 hours and resetting the IGLA, I was able to get everything working again. The screen was still black and needed that reset.

I dropped the truck off with no issues for a full interior/exterior ceramic coating and tint, then couldn’t drive it home at pickup. Between trips back and forth, traffic, Ubers—including to a dentist appointment—and missed work, yesterday was a shit show to say the least.

The shop hasn’t offered any discount or compensation. The owner was out of town, and I’m speaking with him tomorrow. I’m holding off on naming the shop until I’ve had a chance to talk to him about what happened and address it. Stay tuned.
Like I said, it was your battery. IGLA works on 8v and doesn’t block shifter.

No immobilizer, same issue and there are dozens more like it (yes the new trx is an rho minus engine)

So they didn’t have an IGLA at all?

No sir. Like I said, IGLA was not your issue. Have installed hundreds and have supplied half the US dealer with thousands of them
