Brakes......

I am thinking stage 6 racing, now, they are going to see if trackhawk 6 piston fronts and 4 piston rears will fit TRX, as they have 2 track hawks owned by owners.

We will see.
Appreciate the diligence here @JRex I'm looking forward to finding something that works well with stock wheels. Slotted or cross drilled would be great.

I'm pretty sure that the Trackhawk needs a 20" rim to clear the caliper....

Can't get track hawk. Without 20" rim. Mopar engineer, just confirmed that to my guy.

He worked on 2016 hellcat and helaphant teams. Inside contact.

He was shocked the TRX only had 2/1 piston setup.

He is contacting TRX team and see if there is a brake upgrade kit or a aftermarket kit that fits. And what is in the works.

I just found out, even if track hawk brembo 16.4" rotar and 6 piston caliper works, with TRX control arms, need 20 inch rims to fit, but you can't get the track hawk brake pads.

My guy just check for track hawk pads, there are 216 different sets and they are all on back order.

Road blocks at every turn.

Given new design and supply chain issues across the world, most of my upgrades will occur next year. Kind of like the mudflaps, very limited and too expensive for what you get.

No call back from Baer or FCA Hellcat engine team member, who was going to contact the TRX team, about brake options and what the real issue is and why they did what they did with brakes. Maybe tomorrow.

I am starting to think there is not going to be any bolt on kits.

They probably can't say anything.

Yeah, whatever info was transferred from FCA internal guy to my guy would not be in written email form. They were texting back and forth.

I just want to know why, no one wants to touch trying to make a upgrade brake kit.

How hard would it be for Baer to just say, due to advance safety features, auto braking, torque vectoring control...etc. just making up possible ideas. That they wont be making a kit.

There is a reason why there are not Brembo brakes on TRX, like all other Hellcats. I just want to narrow it down, so we can either figure it out, drop it and go to a 2 piece rotor spindle systems, which allows you to go with any rotor you want, get the best heat resistant stopping pads and stainless steel line.

Nascar runs ap 6 piston, on a 15 inch wheel, just sayin.

I have no idea what the malfunction or design issue is.

Brembo-wont touch it.
StopTech- no kits.
WilWood-no kits
Baer-no response.

Why is it a big secret why there are not kits for 2019+ New Ram trucks. We are missing something.

I have my local perf shop trying to get to the bottom of it.

I am up for any suggestions.

There are lots of kits for 2019+ Ram vehicles with 20" wheels. Products will come out for the TRX but they do take time to develop. If an out of the box upgrade was already available FCA would offer it as a marked up add-on or install it to begin with. Product development takes time if you want it done right.

And those nascars are what, 1/3 the weight of the TRX? Go ahead and install a set. Let us know the results.

Get a trackhawk setup and there are aftermarket companies that make brake pads. Anyone reach out to R1? Wilwood? I know Wilwood did a limited run for the WK1 SRTs, maybe we could get something going here?

I think everyone has called everyone they know. If you have a connection somewhere there are multiple buyers here

Boat anchor in a harpoon gun mounted to the tire carrier in the bed. LOL
I wonder if the SRT calipers would fit better? I know smaller than the Trackhawk, but still better than what's on the truck.

I kinda want someone to make an air brake.

i guess I could mount one of these in the bed...

Now that would be an interesting idea.
They make them. I’ve thought about it. Would be pretty hilarious to have a giant active aero wing mounted in the back

Can you point me in right direction. For some reason when I put in 2021 RAM 1500 on specific sites, no matches.

Don't know if its to new yet?

negative, more like 1/2 but they are also running 200-400 miles on a single set @ 200mph sooooo.... is your truck going that fast????

its more than enough clamp force for our trucks, but the pads would be the big difference if something where to even be available.

But either way was just a point that you don't have to have big wheels to have "good" brakes, also this is not something that would be good enough cost-benefit to try and fabricate anyway.

we can keep going smaller too F1 cars have 13" wheels....
