BFGOODRICH ALL TERRAIN T/A KO3

- Has anyone/everyone noticed that the OEM Goodyear Tire becomes "Louder" with use/wear? Its annoying to me. Only 16K on the tires & dislike changing them 'early', but probably will. Candidly, Cost is 2nd to Performance (and being Quieter).

- I Noticed 3 Items: 1st: Over 10K with the OEM Goodyears, and they became 'Noisier'. The longer you drive them, the 'Noisier' they become (Or, maybe I notice that more). 2nd: Thinking back, I think the noise issue became much more noticeable from $10K & after. Finally, 3rd: I've noticed that the highway noise is most prominent at or around 50/55 MPH. [That could be 'me' - IDK!]

- I've read comments that Nittos are a great replacement. Yet, there are 'Mixed Opinions'.

- I realize this is an older 'Post', but would appreciate anyone's personal recommendations & experiences, or any references to prior 'studies' on this topic. I do wish to stay with the OEM 35" Tire Size & TRX 'Bead Lock' Rims. I am disappointed that I've only got 16K miles & will replace these tires - Yet, I believe its typical for any OEM tire. Yet, others report going well over 50K with the OEM tires.

- Thoughts would be appreciated!

- Thanks, In Advance!

Every tire I've owned got noisier with mileage/age. AT tires are more noticeable than a highway tire, but the same can be said about MT's vs AT's.

Tires, and especially halfway or aggressive ones, tend to get noisy as they wear.

That's just how they are, and why many praise their new tires for being quiet. Sorry 04Ram2500Hemi, but your Grabbers will most likely also get noisier as they age.

More than likely I won’t notice it if I’m traveling with my wife…

But yes, as tires age they will get louder. The stock tires were the worse set I’ve experienced with that (they are louder than most when new). I plan on paying attention to my General Grabbers and I’ll give honest updates in the thread I started on them as time goes on.

You're Probably 100% Correct! There's a 'Line' between wanting the aggressive look & performance for Off-Road, and the ultimate (with time) Noise Factor of highway driving which everyone seems to agree, gets increasingly worse as they wear. Since I posted the question, many have recommended either the KO3 or the Grabber. So Be It! I may go with the Nitto Grabber, and next time the KO3. Thanks for the comment - Appreciated.
