Wilwood is coming out with a 18 inch wheel compatible kit: it was supposed to be released already… I think they need more people asking them
I wish the TRX had 17” rims on it to begin with. No way I am running anything bigger than 18” rims so I’ll be running the Alcons unless Wildwood does indeed come out with the 18” kit.
A lot of Raptor guys have had success with the Alcons. I have a friend with a full SVC long travel Gen 2 Raptor running 40s and pre runs Baja regularly. He swears by the Alcons.
Alcon has a great name and history. They also have the 4 wheel raptor kit.
Alcon is also a bit like the bling. And again, the wilwood raptor kit doesn’t have the bling when it comes to the rotor. 2
Piece Alcon vs 1 piece wilwood.
If wilwood comes out with that same rotor, then it’s Alcon for me too.
Idk why ram came up with that skinny rotor idea for the ram 1500 DT… sure it is “15 inches” but it’s so skinny.
I think the diameter number “wow’s” the same people who think 6 pistons are better than 4 pistons because it has more pistons.
If ram had made our brakes with a 14” rotor that was 1.3” thick… or better yet, 1.5” thick…. That fit 17 inch wheels….

I know the Alcon brakes fit under the stock 18” wheel, but will it fit under the stock 18” beadlock wheels? I have a 2023 lunar and it came with the black beadlocks. Anyone know for sure!

Any pics with the factory beadlocks? I have the Alcons already but before it went to the shop for install, I wanted to make sure it would fit under the stock beadlocks. Thanks!

Roger. I will try later this week when I pick it up...She's all apart this afternoon, rear calipers at powder coat to match the fronts. It'll be a few days... Eibach Pro lift, AWE exhaust, BD lighting, Skid plates, etc.

Thanks! I am doing HELLWIG front and rear sway bars, Ripatuned driveshaft at the same time as the Alcons and then it’s off to BORLA on 11/6 for ATAK install.

Funny - I've been in the TRX rabbit whole for the past 10 months - spending money on parts, waiting for mine to be built - got one of the first made to order '24's (carry over '23 order) and completed 2 weeks before plant shut down. Feels like Christmas. Hellwigs going on mine as well. Let me know if you need an extra set of Factory bead-lock (capable) wheels w/ <1k miles on the tires. Just put them up for sale in classified & CO...HRE 20" & 37" rubber going on this week as well.

It’s addicting once you start. I’ve been stockpiling parts waiting to get it into the shop to get them installed for a couple months now! HRE’s gonna be bad ass, but I like the way the factory black beadlocks look on this truck. I don’t think I am going to change them out. I have been debating the FAS predator pulley but I keep hearing it’s not worth the cost of the pulley and the install cost.
Hey, I am currently in Golden. Getting my IGLA and CompuStar installed. I have forgotten how beautiful it is here in Colorado.

No, only Moe went from what was told. This new setup will definitely take getting used to on a daily basis. I had the key locker installed and the additional pin pad in the front window. I know I will have many question. They did a great job. They are very professional and friendly.
I have 20 in Monster Offroad M08 wheels. Want to upgrade my brakes because the factory ones seem pitiful. I don’t Offroad in the truck so less worried about that but need advice on best way to upgrade brakes. I see previous comments about better pads and fluid (anyone have specific recs?). Is it important to do both front and back if you do a kit?
The weak point in the brakes is the calipers. Changing pads and rotors will give you minimal difference. If you do notice something, it's probably the brain trying to justify what someone spent on rotors and pads.
