No doubt. But my point is that I dislike the “made in America” slight of hand that some companies are doing.Eh, a lot of the big valve stuff we make at my work is from China. The manufacturers we have over there honestly have better quality than 95% of the US shops we work with. The actual stuff comes in without any issues almost every single time, and when they do have issues their quality process and corrective actions are better than almost any I've seen.
Not to mention the mark up they put on those products under the guise of American made costs.
For me and the projects I’m involved in, it doesn’t take the outside the US consideration.
When I get to the point of converting aftermarket shocks to run the oem spool valves, it’s possible. I don’t know if I can source 3d printed metal (weldable) at a production level and detail domestically. Maybe.
I haven’t looked too hard at it. That’s for this summer.
