Honestly, that is the biggest difference. They both perform similarly with their dyno gains.

Yesterday I discovered a slight concern with the aFe intake (I have the track series). I opened the hood while the engine was still warm (not super hot), and noticed that the back wall of the airbox flexes a fair bit. It was pulled inwards ever so slightly - towards the filter - and I could push it back out. And it didn't pop right back in. In other words, the plastic was warm enough that it wasn't staying perfectly rigid.
That makes me wonder if it pulls even further in, when the engine is really hot and there's suction happening.
Ideally, the plastic housing would be a little thicker.

So the afe will break ?

The aFe Momentum GT has 2 large filters (instead of one mammoth filter), consequently it has 2 air paths that junction into a Y ahead of the throttle body. This creates more joints and more potential failure points - technically. But I don't think it would ever break. Everything considered it is a pretty simple thing that just sits there.

I have S&B. Would recommend. Tried Ripa for a little. I am intrigued by the newer one from AFE that basically copies S@B. Also the K@N that uses a modified hood scoop.

I was hoping Banks would make an Intake after bashing the S&B hood open/dyno video. I have yet to see one. I ave the AFE carbon elbow/superstock and I am happy with it.
