Not really. I would say on paper the gains are miniscule.

Hey I was installing the aFe Dry S filters and I noticed that one side is taller than the other. Which direction do they go in? Does the tall side face upward or downward? I did not see any flow direction marked on them.

Small lip on the top. Once you remove all the bolts, you can sneak them in without removing the band clamp. See below.
