NEW aFe Magnum FLOW Pro DRY S, Pro 5R and Pro Guard7 Air Filters for 2021+ Ram TRX

I like the look of the momentum but might just do the super stock or wait til someone else comes out with a replacement tube part since I have filters already

Just installed them and took no more than 5 minutes. They fit perfectly. Will take it for a ride in a little bit and update to see how the whine is with these. Here’s a pic of front and back of my stock air filters, look pretty clean to me, I have just over 9k miles on my truck.

It’s a little louder. This is with the cover off in the engine bay and all windows closed and recorded on cellphone

Nice! I'm sure you are getting better flow than the stock ones. Do you go offroading often? I'm leaning towards the dry kit. Are you planning on getting the super stock elbow to complement the kit? Thanks for the time doing the review and videos

No I don’t go off road often, wish I did though cause I wanna test this truck out. Yes I’m gonna get the elbow kit either from them or if someone else has one available sooner. That driving was in sport mode by the way. I drove with the window open and it sounds much better obviously but with wind you couldn’t hear anything on the video.

If you are going to replace the filters and off-road, AFE recommends their Pro Guard7 series filter. They mention that their Dry filter is ideal for Street driving.

A graph I found on their site comparing the filters Performance/function.

My bad, yeah, that question was meant for @Johnny@JustBoltOns
Mind if I chime in on this?
Our ProGUARD7 media is the most restrictive but offers the best filtration. You really only need to use this if you're in dusty environments. Its still an oiled media, so it will require re-oiling down the line, but the oil is really what captures the finer dust particles.

Just ping me if you have any other questions.

@aFeDesign ,Thanks for the info. For a truck that would never see offroading:
What's the best filter for performance and SC whine?
Oiled or dry? Are the oiled ones worth in performance vs the mess long term? Thanks

Luckily I got these then cause my truck collects dust from sitting in the driveway/garage lol

Oiled for best performance and whine. Cleaning the filters is the same process either way, you just need to reapply the oil to the oiled media.
I personally run dry media on my daily driver, and oiled media on the weekend toy.

Thanks. That’s exactly what I got from the chart you guys have posted under the filters. Glad to see you all are shipping out these filters now. Called today for product inquire and was informed that the Momentum GT is pushed back until late May and the super stock is looking like mid-late March

How is the performance of the dry media compared to the stock filters @aFeDesign ?
