2027 TRX - Where Should I PPF??

One of my engineers just had to reclear the front bumper of his Ferrari F12 because it came off with the Xpel stealth PPF when he had it removed. It was on there about 4 years.

Holy crap! Could not imagine the frustration level seeing that. Normally I don’t throw brand names out there, but xpel totally backed their warranty with no questions asked. Loyal to a fault I guess, but give props where due.

Front fenders and filler panels under the headlights. Rear bedsides. I have no other problem areas after 60k miles. If you are doing mostly on-road driving and only worry about stone chips from tires and random vehicles in front of you, these areas will serve you well.

I don’t have any PPF on mine. But when I repaint the bedsides, I’m going to have some installed. Bedsides in front of rear tires are peppered to hell.

Yep all stock. I have the powered running boards.

I’ve had a couple TRXs and several Raptors.
Here is my 2 cents:
Any painted parts of the front end, headlights, front third or entire hood, front third of front fenders, rocker panels and front third of rear fenders/bed side panels. The areas in front of the rear tires gets smoked by rocks and debris especially without fixed running boards. Mud flaps probably help some too. I have mopar retractable boards on my TRX and 0 offset wheels and this especially leads to lots of debris on the front of the bed panels. I’ve replaced this once already on my 23 TRX. On my Raptor I have the fixed running boards and stock offset wheels, and this helps some but the bed panels still get beat up. I’ve had no issues with pealing or paint adjacent to the PPF. I will continue to do this on any future truck because of what I’ve seen on my trucks over the years.

He bought the car with the wrap on it. I don’t believe Xpel covers it unless you are the original purchaser. I’m also not sure he pursued a warranty.

Sucks even more. Yeah - not sure on the warranty coverage either.
