HOT! 2027 RAM TRX is Back as the Fastest and Most Powerful Production Gas Pickup Truck in the World

Are there any real world test drive videos out there yet?

Oh oops. I meant the charge for the 5gal.
There's no addl charge for the gas. The big $$ you see is for the next line (destination fee).

Thank you! I know the FWP line on my RHO order added $16 for the 5 gallons, but that's a deal for me now here in CA so I guess they aren't making money on it 🤣

Is there anything mechanically different other whatever they did to get that claimed 70hp bump.
There are years and years' worth of video reviews of the 21-24 model TRXs on YouTube.
I am sort of expecting it to ride and drive exactly like my 2021 TRX.
Only with a few new tech gadgets and an annoying red accented interior to have to look at. LOL

I called the 3 closest dealerships to me the day the order banks opened and 2 were charging a $20k ADM and the other was $15k. And they each required a $5k deposit. They each had 2 allocations.

I called today just for the hell of it and all 3 have used those allocations.

That’s what fucks the rest of us… people willing to pay WTF ever for these.

That’s hardly the $10-12k discount everyone is so sure is coming. And he had to know someone. 🖕
If that were to ever happen, I am betting its a year or two down the road and only if fuel prices or something else forces the demand to fall way off.

I think the limiting production factor here has to be engine production capacity.
Combine that with the hard push to SRT and Hemi various models across all the different brands.

I can only imagine how all that new demand is going to play into how limited the TRX will likely remain.
Least till they pull their heads out and get serious about getting another V8 engine plant online cranking out Hemi's.

It seems to me that MSRP is already a discount, according to the market, the market being a buyer who is either wanting a Raptor R or SRT TRX-level truck.

Numbers-wise, the TRX is undoubtedly more truck for less money when comparing MSRP.

Subjectivity-wise, it’s also a BETTER truck… YMMV…

Ultimately common sense tells me that Ram is entering Ford territory with a halo truck, so as long as the SRT TRX is produced, it will be treated like the Raptor R by dealers and the market as a whole.

Do I want this? Hell no.

Will I jump at the first opportunity to buy one at MSRP instead of count on massive discounts that more than likely will never come? Hell yes.

Curious if anyone knows if Chrysler still a consumer order tracking system that we can plug in our order numbers to track our trucks through the production process?

Well, not actually sure and I have never owned a TRX. I know if I did have one, that I wouldn't be excited to get a new one since ain't shit really changed as you mentioned.

I do indeed "know somebody", but my while my regular dealer would've given me a better price yet, he had promised his one allocation to a high volume buyer. We have only bought about 15 vehicles from there in about as many years.

So yesterday evening I called a couple of nearby dealers I'd never dealt with before and this morning we made the deal. It's far from all bad since this outfit may become my new regular dealer. If for no other reason because it's a 480 mile shorter roundtrip to go pick vehicles up.

Those 900 mile drives did make for a long day since paperwork and shooting the crap generally took some two hours. Now, at only 420 miles, I don't have to leave and return in the dark when the elk and deer are out and about.

Unfortunately this new system is nothing like before, when even the train's current location was available to see.

Now the tracking is watered down to basics and it's not unheard of that people have received their vehicle a week or two before the tracker says that it has arrived at the dealership.

I generally request that the dealership (which has access to far more precise and timely updates) let me know when there's a change in status codes. Gives me a better idea of when to dig out the correct trailer for the vehicle, get it set up accordingly, and hooked to the tow vehicle.

I am not getting any tracking with that link.
This what I am seeing.
Then I click that link to track an order and goes right back to this same page.

As I recall, the first thing that'll show is that the order is in the system, then that it's accepted. And without a VON nobody will see anything.

If you start worrying at this stage you'll be a nervous wreck long before the car even hits the assembly line.
