2027 RAM TRX at NY Auto Show

Since my local show (philly) let me down with no TRX this year my son and I took the train up to NY and hit the auto show today cause I knew the 27 TRX was there. On a side note, was very impressed with the show and will never go to Phillys show again. On to the TRX. Loved what I saw and pretty much solidified my intent on ordering one when available and If the discounts are there. I took some underhood and under truck pics and wanted to post a couple here to see if anyone can tell if they updated the driveshaft and radiator which Ive come to understand have been problematic to say the least on 21-24s. I know this truck is “pre-production” and who knows if anything will change once the final design drops. I dont own a TRX yet so no clue if what I saw was new or the same as 24. You can clearly see the part number on the driveshaft. The woman from the Ram display had zero clue about anything and literally tried to tell me I can order it now. I said uh no you cant Hope everyone has a nice Easter.

Same driveshaft. You should have looked at the performance pages to see if it had the Hurricane engine graphics.

Gloss black rocker panels mixed with matte graphics, then the top of the cab is painted gloss black. Lol makes sense.

The red accents on the front end to copy the Raptor R is disgusting. I don’t know what executive signed off on that.

The tailgate looks busy too with SRT and TRX badging.

Looks like same headlights at the RHO too which is a missed opportunity IMO.

I will probably do black again or forged blue. Forged is a nice color in person and hides dirt pretty well.

I personally hate graphics, badging etc and tend to do less. There will be plenty of people buying the Bloodshot trucks I am sure.

I second this. That new taillight design is dogshit, and almost looks pink. If I ordered a ‘27 I’d have to keep my ‘22 taillights and swap them in.

I have to be honest, I don’t get the excitement and urge to buy a 2027 if you have a perfectly good 2021-2024 TRX. I just don’t see any extra value in the 2027 over my truck.

I only get it if you want a "new" truck and have the cash to buy it outright IMO. No idea if UC5 issues fixed and all the weak points like driveshaft, radiator etc are all the same. I get it would have warranty, but for me I'll mod the 21' more and enjoy my slow UC4

I'm looking forward to the electrical and software gremlins that are still plaugeing the '26 models ...I'm sure Ram will have them all fixed up by 3rd quarter!!
