2022 loaded TRX OR 2018 loaded Audi RS-7 Performance

Came from a tuned S8…same motor with slightly smaller turbos. Still made north of 700hp with just a reflash and cracked off sub 3 second 0-60s (which will beat most modern supercars especially on an unprepped surface).

The Audi will win the comparison in:

Performance (accel, speed and cornering), overall quality and fit/finish, interior styling, tech, gas mileage, resale, exclusivity, exhaust note, ride comfort and customer service

The TRX will win the comparison in:

Towing, hauling, off road

If you don’t plan on doing any true “truck” things with the TRX then get the Audi. I only got the TRX because of trips off road. Otherwise I would have the S8 still or an RSQ8 if I needed a bit more room.

No it's a "Combi" and it hauls ass. Lots of room for guns too!
If it looks like a duck, it's a duck... :ROFLMAO: I don't care how fast it goes, a wagon is still a wagon. :poop:

and we have a truck, by your logic a truck no different than a ford maverick or the amazingly ugly santa cruz.

That's just a wagon with the back cut off, don't try to pull the wool over my eyes bro... :ROFLMAO:

That's an urban assault vehicle. Keep it in the TRX bed, under the weathertech tri-fold. Launch it when you need to enter urban areas without raising alarm.

The Audi will drive better and be more fun on road by far. Obvious better choice to me if you aren't looking to use the TRX as a truck and haul/tow/offroad.
Traded a 2021 R8 Performance in for it.... had a 2019 GT3 RS after it... It was fast but it wasn't "smoking super cars".
I had my RS7 in Florida just north of you, it is a great car for that area.

Ride comfort is debatable - could probably go either way here based on various driver variables.

My next door neighbor has the E63s Wagon. It is one of the coolest cars that there is in my opinion. I think I like the Avanti even better.
The only wagon I'd drive is... wait for it... a Power Wagon.

Do the sporty Audi's hold their value a lot better than the rest of their line?

My wife has wanted a BMW, Mercedes or Audi for over a decade.... A gave her a "hell no" for 2 reasons.

The maintenance costs are retarded for all of them.

The resale is shit on all of them...(talking about standard sedans, SUV's etc) not super sports.

Oh, and I guess a third reason.... Until recently, we didn't have dealerships for any of those, And I didn't feel like sitting on the freeway for 4 hours every time it needed service.

Since when does the TRX have optional massage seats? Lol

The TRX rides well…for a truck. Once you add the “for a truck” qualifier onto anything then the TRX does it well. Like people who say it has an ‘S’ class interior on this forum… 🤦‍♂️. Clearly haven’t sat in an S class in 20+ years. It has the “S class interior of trucks.” But the Audi in comfort mode with the massage seats on is going to beat the TRX any day for a long drive.

I don’t think you can go wrong with either tbh. I had a 2012 RS5 and loved it, one big benefit too is when you bring it to get serviced their dealers are just so vastly superior in every way. With a TRX you’re bringing a $100k truck to the same dealer that people with shitty $10k grand caravans are and the treatment is not great. Cant even get loaner cars most of the time anymore. I don’t really do many “truck” things with my TRX as I’m in Connecticut and there’s not any good trails but I do appreciate the versatility of it, being able to put stuff in the bed, go over anything and not worry about it aspect whereas with my Audi I’d have to avoid potholes and was always worried about curbs, etc. Someone else mentioned a great idea, if possible, buy the Audi and drive it, if the TRX comes in and you don’t love it as much as you think you’d like a TRX then keep it, if you want the TRX then sell the Audi and likely break even especially in florida. Win win

Are you a truck guy or are you a sedan guy? Simple question, that should answer everything

You’ll sure as hell need those massage seats working overtime after clunking through potholes and bumpy roads all day. Unless you spend all your time driving around the suburbs on glass smooth pavement, the TRX provides a much broader comfort factor in a wide variety of road conditions — not to mention the ample space for all passengers, excellent view of the road and traffic, vast storage capacity, etc.

OP is in South Florida… lived there for awhile. Roads are fine and nothing you need 35 inch tires to deal with. Your description is quite dramatic but maybe where you live the roads are garbage. Smooth as can be here in AZ until you go off road which 90% of the population doesn’t do.

The truck does give a better view because of height but it’s also a pain to park in tight lots in the city. And some people prefer to sit down low versus up high. I used to hate being high up.

Yes the truck has tons more storage…including a bed. Hence, get the truck if you need to do “truck things.” Otherwise the hatch has tons of room and comfortably fits 4. I doubt the OP cares about how big the middle back seat is based on his post.
