Good information share. The part thing bugs me. Looking at a truck just like mine, from the same dealer yesterday, it had black rims non-bead. If the only thing holding mine up is something like that, tell me, I'll take the non bead locks. But I have nothing to complain about as I have not been waiting anything near 7 months. It's fun to talk about though.VIN# 4267. Finally!! After almost 7 months with no movement and NO communication from FCA. My dealer gave me a contact name for someone at FCA. I sent them an email Friday evening, got a response Saturday morning and a phone call Monday from Mike McDonald telling me my order was moved to D1. It went to E status (frame) Wednesday and F (paint) today. Expected ship date 4/6. Key seems to be express concern, but be polite. When asked about the reason for delay when so many vehicles ordered later had been delivered, he said there had been some parts constraints (not being able to get enough parts from some suppliers) and also that they had to keep their dealers (who really their customers - not us) happy. Meaning that larger volume dealers got priority. Heard from my dealer that often there are strings attached as well - OK we'll give you 4 of these if you agree to take 10 of those.
Congratulations on getting your build moving, as said many times before, it is well worth the wait. CheersVIN# 4267. Finally!! After almost 7 months with no movement and NO communication from FCA. Well, this has turned out to be a very expensive truck. Our dealer has a Durango Hellcat coming in that the original purchaser just backed out on (I think he lost his job). Wife overheard my conversation with the salesman when this was mentioned and it was game on - if you get a Hellcat why can't I? End result, we've agreed to buy the Durango as well. Interesting enough, they both has the same expected ship date. At least I won't be getting any my grief about how much I'm spending for the TRX because the Durango is even more!VIN# 4267. Finally!! Ron, I'd like to have that phone number as well. Please PM me if you could. thanks.PM sent.
Kind of sucks but that explanation actually makes sense. That high volume dealer who’s routinely making them millions $$$ a year is going to get priority over that one time smaller volume dealer $90k order. Certain dealers definitely take advantage of that for sure especially with dealer stock orders. My local high volume area dealer has a hydro blue sitting on the lot for $20k over sticker. Hopefully it sits there for months. I wouldn’t let them rotate my tires.VIN# 4267. Finally!! After almost 7 months with no movement and NO communication from FCA. Congrats on your order, hopefully it will move quickly. CheersJust submitted my tracker INFO. Great momentum so far. I'm cautiously optimistic it will hold. See SIG below for dates.
I think that's what it means, unfortunately, but not 100% sure. Could also mean they don't have certain parts you optioned. Did they tell you they do have an allocation?I ordered on 3/9 and still don’t have a vin printout says BG status does that mean the dealer does not have an allocation?
No you should be fine as of now, it’s only been a couple of weeks. I waited for and allocated order for 4 weeks till I received my vin. Good Luck! CheersI ordered on 3/9 and still don’t have a vin printout says BG status does that mean the dealer does not have an allocation?
Same here, ordered on 2/8 didn't get my VIN until 3/1. Good news is that this morning I went D1 so I should have a build date within the next 2 weeks. The waiting sucks but the time will come where it's yours. No you should be fine as of now, it’s only been a couple of weeks. I waited for and allocated order for 4 weeks till I received my vin. I’ve confirmed this multiple times with a regional rep I know well, but my thought is that dealers are playing games by trying to pull people over by saying they “have an allocation”. Allocation restrictions were lifted back in early February. They need an allocation to order one for stock but not to order one for a customer as a sold order. It will get picked up like any other sold order. I confirmed this by doing so myself and mine had a vin and d status in a week. It’s stuck in D because I want the bead locks. I know several guys personally who ordered from dealers with no allocations. Dealers need to stop playing games and using the old “come buy from me, I have an allocation crap”. What they get out if it is to pull sales they may not otherwise get, convince people to pay an ADM and by doing so they can order more for stock with the allocations they get as a result but that does not impact you placing a sold order period. It’s a fact and I don’t care what a dealer tells people. Sad.I think that's what it means, unfortunately, but not 100% sure. Could also mean they don't have certain parts you optioned. Are you saying that you know the bead locks are what is holding it up? I may have missed that thread. I have that on my order and thought to myself, if that's holding it up, give me the stock wheels and give me the truck.
