TFL TRX Tyrant review

12.94 stock and 12.63 Tyrant .....not the .9 difference advertised. Was this on 91 octane or 93 ?

Was that with stock wheels and tires or the 37"? The numbers they put out were stock size.
They ran stock vs tyrant on stock wheels then regular tyrant vs tyrant with 37’s. Best run out of any of them was 12.63

They were also at 1000' ft above sea level.
Yes but all trucks in same conditions and only a .31 difference from Tyrant vs stock. Would like to know if the Tyrant was on 91 or 93 octane

Yes, I made the mistake of not opting to prep the track when I booked the video shoot 😔.

That mitigated the Advantage the Tyrant had off the line and slowed down times for all the trucks as you can see in the video. We've run both an 11 second time when Aaron at Nth Moto tested and us at Granger Motors on street surfaces. The old rubber at the track without any prep work led to some slower times.

Zach would say 787 hp is a conservative estimate?

What is the time difference you are seeing between stock and 37’s with the performance mods?

You can see here a let off a little early and it still ran 11s. The testing on this unprepped surface was putting out 60 foot time around 2.2. Here's a dragy time on 37s.

We're stating horsepower conservatively.

What I don’t understand is the trucks being ”tested” all had under 500 miles on them. Were these customer trucks that agreed to have their trucks used, or trucks still on the lot and unsold?

Go watch a TRX production video from the factory. Their techs run each truck WOT straight from the factory floor on the test track. It’s all part of the Mileage on trucks at delivery.

These are all our trucks. No customer cars were used.

Then why are we told to "baby" the trucks for the first 500miles? Is that all passed along BS?

I've heard from a former engine builder that a couple heat cycles and you should be good.

I've heard people stay strict to 500 mile interval and then change oil.

I'm not 100% sure what is right on it. If its my car, I'm driving it!
