I like YouTube install guides especially when they use a 'Novice' which emphasizes their intuitive installs. Here is a 'dated' but memorable example (Teraflex/9yrs ago) of a 'Novice' install and it's a 'Proof of Life' for anxious new customers "hey I can do that!" ->
This video lead to 2 sets ordered/installed on our Jeep Rubicon JKs. Proved a fun project alongside my wife.
Also wiring - especially if they are specifically designed to merge easily with factory wiring/harnesses and the application (ie: RAM 1500/TRX/RHO). I most like OEM appear under the hood only interrupted by optional labels noting what it's powering. I'd pay extra for harnesses/looms/etc. that were pre-cut for specific model install. Nothing like seeing a $110k truck with bundles of zip tied wires or no rhyme reason as to the routing.
Other than
www.WiredByGreg.com which I remember first as an IG Vendor - now robust online business with some making the pilgrimage from other States for a very clean install. I'm surprised there aren't more specific Vendors catering solely to lighting/related electrical aftermarket (beyond stereos)?
Perhaps a curse from some really bad middle school 'Electrical' shop class experiences, perhaps watching
BEAKER on the Muppet Show get fried too many times during my formative youth? But I've spent $$ to completely un-fuck horrible aftermarket wiring even ground locations - fueled by 'Beer-30' installs from a couple well known Arizona Off-Road shops. One bill was $2500.
Finally - is there any incentive $ should someone exclusively outfit their vehicle with Oracle Lighting? Also thinking of the infamous (BMW) DINAN badge from decades ago which I believe required receipts/'Proof of Life' of a certain number of products being installed before it was deemed worthy.
