Looking to buy a 22 TRX . Must be lvl2, still under warranty and no title issues. I’m in the west coast but willing to travel for the right deal.

Well - we all know that 22's in white are the fastest of all the yearsAlso why a 22? Besides the uconnect change 21-22 and the digital dash change 22-23, there is really nothing between any of the years.
Fixed color errorWell - we all know that 22's in hydro are the fastest of all the years![]()

I’ve tried auto trader but there’s very few that are for sale private party. I have zero interest in buying from a dealer. Interested in a truck that’s either still under the factory bumper to bumper 36k warranty or has one extended. Trying to avoid the all too prominent aspect of someone offloading a vehicle cause they know something is an issue and masking it.
Price somewhat depends. Got a budget about 75-80k but if I have to fly across the country vs finding the ideal truck in my back yard, all that changes.
Dm sentIf you fail to find white I have a Sandblast. Just too lazy to list. Lol
Not interested in a dealer sale. I’m also all the way across the country. If you dont mind dealership( although its in florida) there's one at the Jacksonville cdjr, where I bought mine.
It’s absolutely your right to not want to use a dealership, I’m just wondering why?Not interested in a dealer sale. I’m also all the way across the country.

I understand most of us have had bad experiences at them. At the same time I have bought a ticking time bomb through a private sale as well.
If it’s also just because you absolutely despise them and refuse to do business with them, that’s 100% a valid reason
..but wanting one with a warranty explicitly implies you intend to do business with them in case the need arises.
That last part with the warranty is a bit contradictory to not wanting to buy from anything other than private sale.
Couple reasons. Main one being the same reason you see so many Montana plates in comifornia. Secondly, I’d prefer to talk to the person who actually owns the vehicle and been driving it if I’m spending 80 thousand dollars. Not some scum bag salesman who knows nothing. Then sit with the finance guy who tries to sell me snake oil for an hour cause that’s how he makes a commission. It’s absolutely your right to not want to use a dealership, I’m just wondering why?

As for the warranty, a warranty and the sales end of a dealership have nothing to do with each other. I have a good relationship with my local ram dealer so if I can get something under warranty even for a few thousand miles I can assure myself a better success rate at weeding out any issues that aren’t easily apparent at purchase.
Valid points,
From a private seller you could be buying from some of the forum favorites such as the “oriely air filter guy” or another one who didn’t check his oil for about 10K and it was several quarts low.
From having worked at a dealer for several years I can assure you the sales and service department are very much interconnected.
I have absolutely zero affiliation with any dealer now as a side note.
You appear to have a solid idea of what you want, I only offer that as a view into one is not necessarily “safer” than another.
If paying cash to a dealer or private seller you can do the MT plates same, I have handled all my registration on several transactions through dealers.
I wish you good luck on the search!
My counter point to buying from the guy who didn’t change his oil, is that same truck is on a car lot after a mediocre inspection. Dealerships quite often take in trashed vehicles and cover stuff up. I know cause I own a detailing company and everyone close to me is in the car industry etcValid points,

I have a good relationship with my local ram dealer. That’s not a huge concern for me. It’s one of a couple dealers I’ll buy from and have them looking for me as well. You mention a truck with a warranty. I have seen quite a few times on here of people buying used TRX and having Warranty issues because the truck was tuned. Private or dealer or any place you purchase, if it matters, you will need to have Ram check to make sure the computer was never changed.
Dm sentI have a white 23 Lvl 2 I've been going back and forth on selling to move forward with a land purchase. 8,xxx miles, 3 documented oil changes and it already has IGLA and a 100K mile Mopar warranty. However I couldn't let it go for 80, we might be too far apart. Window sticker attached.
