Best Tonneau cover?

No RamBar. I had a trifold hard one on my Raptor and was happy with it. Did the job and allowed for all the room. And don’t often have it all the way up to block the view as Speedy said.

Just a lot of options and not sure which one is “the best”….I know Ford doesn’t actually make their cover but not sure who’s it was…

What do you guys recommend for a hard tonneau cover....I had the Ford OEM on my Raptor but my Ram does not have it....I'm seeing a ton of options....any recommendations?
I had a rough country soft cover tri fold for my 18,21 f150 and one for my 22 rebel and it worked pretty good. Drove from Minneapolis to st louis in a down pour and nothing got wet. I'm gonna get the same one for my trx and unless they changed the price it was gonna cost like $250 out the door and shipped to st. Louis. Depending on location the only thing rhat would change is your tax

Question really to any tonneau model/brand owners, I just got the Bak Revolver, how has it changed your truck washing experience?

I imagine you’d wash the cover first, then fold it up and do the truck, then dry in reverse? I use the bed to wash/dry the cab roof.

You definitely can, I only do that when i use the bed and it needs a cleaning. I tend to just use one of these to wash the cab roof, it does a great job: https://www.amazon.com/anngrowy-Microfiber-Accessories-Scratch-Free-Replacement/dp/B08C29V8B2

And these are great for drying the cab roof (with the doors open) or standing in the bed. https://www.chemicalguys.com/woolly-mammoth-microfibers-drying-towel/woolly-mammoth-microfibers-drying-towel.html
Ahhh, ok, I love those chemical guys towels. I’ll give that reach tool a try. Thanks!

I had the chemical guys extendable brush tool and found this Amazon one to be better than it. The plastic piece on the chemical guys one tends to expose itself on the edges and can scratch your roof if you don’t catch it

This looks awesome. Anybody ordered one? My TRX just got scheduled for build so now i'm looking for cover, was previously thinking about PowertraxPro MX or RetraxPro MX but I'm not sure if I want to spend more than $2k for covers. What's the next best option? I like rolling option as it does not block the back window.
I just had this installed on my truck last week. It's awesome. I was also originally looking at retrax as well as some other rolling covers. From my research they all leaked. EGR does not leak. So far anyway. I have washed it a few times with the pressure washer and no leaking in the bed. And the canister is half the size of of retrax. Everything about the design and engineering screams quality. They only down side is it does require drilling 5 holes into the tray. So if you do not own the truck, or are leasing, then I would not recommend.

I recently installed an A.R.E. Fusion hard tri fold tonneau on my truck. It works perfectly in conjunction with the Elevate rack system set at mid height and the elevate tracks. It folds under the rack. The color matching looks slick and may look even better on colors other than black and white. It’s my first tonneau so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but fit and finish seems excellent. Pretty dry but wind driven water or sprayed water can get in. Unique look. I made the right choice for me.

Well that looks good!

The rack and tie downs slide in the rails. The rails sandwich in between the bed and tonneau edging.

that's a shit ton of water... if all the water got in while the cover was fully closed it's a bad cover tbh. I have DB cover and I dont get one drop, perfect seal. 2 days torrential rain and I eventually got some mist by the tail gate. But barely anything at all

I see the strap is all wet ..dude that's awful

I literally just washed it with a high pressure hose, but that wasn’t why I was showing the pic though. I was trying to force as much water as I could into it from all angles as a full test for myself, but again, rain doesn’t usually come from a high pressure hose from a foot away at a 90 degree angle. After it rained the other day it was perfectly dry while parked. Not trying to sell them or bash them…just sharing the pic of the rail for the guy who asked for it.

I am interested now in knowing if other tonneau covers prevent water from being sprayed inside from the rear when aiming high pressure do it yourself car wash hoses at them. Do they? I don’t need it bone dry in there, but are there tonneaus that keep horizontally sprayed from the rear water completely out of the back…and allow the auto drop tailgate to work?

THE gap between the tailgate and the cover is too big..Here is DiamondBack..Everything the vendors are selling on the forum (tonneau) is a gimmick and they are all a shill for eachother.
Because of the way you can adjust it the tail gate works just fine with DB installed .

The Diamondback switchback is their only cover that might have worked with the rack without having to move it all the time(rack). Almost went with a quad fold just to be sure it would fold under the rack at the medium height. I picked the Fusion without any vendors trying to sell it to me and I have never seen one in person. The color matching and carpeted underside are gimmicks, but it is why I picked it in a sea of tri fold choices (color match from factory). Again, I have nothing to compare it to and have no opinion on if it is the best or worst, but I did want to share it here as no one has on this site and I imagine others may want a rack/tonneau combo. Quad fold is likely absolute best bet as it might even fold under lowest height for those wanting to use a low rack.

Oh yeah, I also wanted a low profile tonneau. Just explaining my choice. Why don’t they make more quad fold options specifically to use with lower racks? There must be a market there

New to the community….just picked up a 23 TRX. Next mod is the tonneau cover.
Can anyone confirm that a BAK Flip MX4(Tri-fold) will fit the bed? Surprised that their website only show Ram 1500…..no TRX model.
I’m sure it does but will feel better hearing it from you nice folks.
Thx in advance!!

they have the same bed size /shape..TRX is a Ram 1500 with a hellcat engine after all.
I'd do more research before buying a tonneau tho
