Plant people tell me the Chip shortage is really messing things up

Dealership just called me and they pushed back my shipping date till 3/5 from 3/3. Hopefully more trucks are going through today and tomorrow if I only got pushed two days.

Glad they used up so many chips on dealer stock orders and the middle east.

Honestly don't think it is the chips fault because there were hundreds stored without them and they opened back up Brampton a few weeks ago that they closed to prioritize chips for the TRX. Might have something to do with the fact we were told in January they were going to have issues in March for some parts. Low stock on TR1 and TR2 seats, beadlocks, carbon, and paint. Not saying they are out but saying they might be decreasing #'s to let the inventory catch up.

I've seen a few people send me there info from FB that have ship dates already set for later in March, that have been stuck in D1 since last week.

I went D1 on 2/16 with a ship date scheduled for today. Confirmed with my dealer that my status and ship date still stand, but FCA chat says they're still waiting on parts to schedule. They did at least escalate a case to the tracking team to try to get it moving and said they would reach out to me within 1 to 2 days.

Dealer told me they expect delivery this month. (ordered 9/12). First time they have said that. Being that I still don't have a build sheet, is that a reasonable expectation?

I’m expecting 685030 to hit the list any day now, FCA chat gave me this response today telling me I was in the “frame stage” and I should expect delivery of truck in 7-9 weeks.

Probably will see it in paint tomorrow and maybe build on Friday if they can't get it in Thursday as well

OK, I had a nice chat with RAM and they told me that all the parts required to build mine are available THANK ZOD!
So it should be built in the next week so they say...I will keep biting my nails (down to my knuckles right now, typing with bloody stumps).

And congrats to those lucky few today and yesterday. Too bad to hear about that train though, sounds like it didn't get far at all. I can't see them needing to delay, if it's just an engine, put another on it...if it's a couple cars then split them off, but geez, don't hold up the whole train...

If windows stickers from a different day/week show up do you post them on the current days post? Like my truck was built 2/24 so whenever they finally add a window sticker will it be posted on the daily build post?
